HSBC 2024 Limited Time Special Mortgage Offer
1. This HSBC Bank Bermuda Limited (“HSBC”) 2024 limited time special mortgage offer (the “Promotion”) is open to all HSBC current and future retail customers, aged 18 years or over, residing in Bermuda, who are approved for a residential mortgage between 1 April 2024 and 30 June 2024 (“Promotion Dates”) (“Eligible Customers”).
2. For Eligible Customers:
a. For residential mortgages equal to or over USD or BMD seven hundred and fifty thousand ($750,000) the negotiation fee will be waived;
b. For residential mortgages valued under USD or BMD seven hundred and fifty thousand ($750,000) the associated arrangement fee will be reduced by fifty percent (50%) (both 2a and 2b together referred to as the Promotion).
3. Only Eligible Customers who have been approved for a residential mortgage during the Promotion Dates will qualify for the Promotion. This Promotion does not apply to existing mortgage holders who are looking to refinance. This does not apply to Pre-Approvals or Home Equity Loans.
4. Disbursement of the mortgage does not need to take place during the Promotion Dates; however, this Promotion will only apply to residential mortgages that are disbursed on or before 31 December 2024.
5. Retail Credit Recovery customers are not eligible to participate in this Promotion.
6. HSBC Bank Bermuda Limited reserves the right to discontinue this Promotion at any time without notice.

A Step-by-Step Guide to Purchasing a New Home*
Get a Pre-Approval Letter
• Review your finances to ensure you have the necessary funds to cover your down payment and all other associated mortgage costs.
• Meet with an HSBC Mortgage Specialists or your Premier Relationship Manager to review how much you can borrow so you know what you can afford. This will help you to find the best options for you and to focus your home search.
• Pre-approval letters are valid for 90 days and is only an indication of how much you can borrow and is not considered as an approved credit facility with HSBC Bank Bermuda Limited.

Secure Your Purchase
• When you’ve found a property and made an offer subject to financing, contact your Mortgage Specialist and provide the details.
• You will need to provide your Mortgage Specialist with a copy of the “Sales and Purchase Agreement”.
Get Formal Credit Approval
• HSBC will arrange to have the property professionally appraised to confirm the value of the property.
• Your Mortgage Specialist will ask for all required documentation to complete your application.
• Once submitted, your Mortgage Specialist will notify you of the formal credit decision.
Pre-Closing
• Meet with your lawyer for pre-closing.
• Your Mortgage Specialist will help arrange home buildings insurance and other insurance solutions to protect your investment.
• HSBC will send instructions to your lawyer who will then complete the closing documents which you will be required to review and sign.
• HSBC will provide you with a letter confirming all the details of your mortgage.
Closing
• Your lawyer will send the closing documents to HSBC.
• HSBC will arrange to have the funds sent to your lawyer who will complete the purchase.
