What is Agua Piedra?

Mezcal is a social company based in Oaxaca Mexico, we made gourmet products like mezcal, handcrafted beer, chocolate, mole and honey. With our opertation we try to make this world a better place to live. We have social, education and enviromental programs like Cine.Mezcal and Manos que Hilan Sue単os, who benefit 570 vulnerable people only in 2014.
How we operate?
We work with small
and poor communities in the mountains of Oaxaca, we try to reduce the poverty levels in the communities who work with us. Oaxaca is the third poorest state in Mexico, but is also a place with big opportunities because the geographic situation and for the natural resources, when we select a community we work in the adaptation of the social programs to the local situation, we try the people brake up the poverty chains with the programs and work in local solutions for reduce our enviromental impact. Actually we work in communities of the regions of Istmo (Isthmus), Mixteca (Mixtec Mounitains), Sierra Norte (North Mountains) y Valles Centrales (Central Valleys)
Possitive Impact
When someone buy
one of our products is helping to the vulnerable people and to the nature. The glass of our bottles is recycled and fused with 80% of clean energy, produced thanks to bio oil. The poverty reduction in the communities is visible, the poverty index in the families who work with us has been reduced in 60%. And with our social and education programs we benefit 570 vulnerable people and we create 2 communitary productive associations administrated by themselves: La Flor de San Juan and San Pedro Cajonos Silk. Booth companies work in the commerce of traditional textiles.
Enviromental Response
We try to
reduce our enviromental impact in this lines: Use of energy and nature conservation. In the use of energy as we said produce clean energy in 80% for our bottles, 10% electric energy, and 10% gas. And we collect glass for re fused in our bottles. For the nature of our product we need to use wood for bring to the mezcal the smooky flavor, but we plant 10 trees for each time who we have a distillation, and we plant permanently agave and coffe plant for being a sustainable company. The bees who made the honey live in the nature and we have a special way to extract the honey.

Holding and products
We have a
interesting holding under the name of the Company Agua Piedra, we have mezcal premium under the brands Agua Piedra and La Celestial, premium coffe under the brand santonegro, nature honey under the brand Tierra Dulce, handcrafted beer under the brand ĂĄnima negra and traditional chocolate and mole under the name Pascual BailĂłn. All the brands of the holding had a similar operation model of high quality products, social and enviromental response.

Mezcal is the brand who started this company is a premium mezcal made with Agave EspadĂn in the south mountains of Oaxaca, the geographic situtation of the landscapes for the agave bring the high altitude of the mountains and the sea wind, for that this mezcal have floral notes. Is a double distilled and cooked in rock oven under the earth. The bottle is artisanal blowed, the labels are made with agave paper and natural cork.

It´s a little bottle
ideal for trips and of easy transport, it´s the same kind of mezcal of the premium Agua piedra Mezcal, made with Agave Espadín in the south mountains of Oaxaca, the geographic situtation of the landscapes for the agave bring the high altitude of the mountains and the sea wind, for that this mezcal have floral notes. Agua Piedra Mezcal Special Agua Piedra Mezcal Special is an autor line, each bottle is totally different, because we don´t use a mold for the glass. This mezcal is made with a wild agave called arroqueño. Like the Agua Piedra Mezcal Espadín the geographic situation combines altitude and sea wind, for that is floral but with special notes of wood thanks to the agave. Is a double distilled in clay pots and cooked in rock oven under the earth. The labels are made with agave paper.
Santonegro
is our premium coffe brand,
we made this coffe into the clouds of the north mountains of Oaxaca, we produce this coffe near to the 3000 msnm, is export quality and selected in green by colour and size. The blended of this coffe is 50-50 between caracollillo and planchuela species; the ground of this coffe is medium, ideal to presses french, italian coffe pot, turkey coffe pot, and regular coffe pots.
Mole Pascual Bail贸n
The mole is a
blend of more than 30 ingredients it麓s a icon of the mexican cuisine and in Mexico we have at least 100 kinds of mole we produce three of them: Amarillito, Negro y Coloradito. The mole is prepared in many mexican recipes like a thick sauce and goes from the sweet to spicy flavors.
Chocolate Pascual Bail贸n
The
chocolate is a traditional beverage from Mexico, and used in many mexican recipes too. Our chocolates line have different kind of chocolates; sweets, bittersweet and with chilli. Are handmade by woman of the central valleys of Oaxaca. Is carefully saved in a encino wood box.
Tierra Dulce
Is our brand of organic
honey. We collect the honey of wild bees in special landscapes of the mixtec mountains of Oaxaca, our honey had a balance into the sweet and floral senses. The label is made of cotton paper.

Our handcrafted porter
beer is made with manantial water from Tamazulapam, Oaxaca. The water properties bring to this beer the strong flavor of a porter with a sweet touch at the end of each drink. The label is a hot melt with our logo made with a lacre seal.
La celestial
Is a excelent quality mezcal
produced in the central valleys of Oaxaca, it´s smooky. Is a double distilled in cooper pot. The bottle is made of industrial glass and plastic plug. The label is made with cotton paper. This is our cheapest mezcal, for a bigger market segment.

Is a funny
presentation; looks like a bottle of medicine of mezcal; it´s from the central valleys of Oaxaca so smooky. Is a double distilled in cooper pot. The bottle is made of industrial glass and plastic plug. The label is made with cotton paper. This is our cheapest mezcal, for a bigger market segment.

of our products are designed for customer segments with a medium to high buying power. And in the case of La Celestial, Agua Piedra Medicine and the handcrafted beer are designed to medium low buying power.
Expansion Strategy We are working in fulfill all the regulations for international commerce of each counctry interested in import our products. At the moment we have interested cutomers and distributors in Canadรก, US, UK, Germany, Holland and Japan. We projected start exportations in the last three months of 2015.
