Integrity Compassion Always Respect Excellence

Hello Research Family, It is with great anticipation that I wish a Happy New Year to our Research Family. The past year has been remarkable in every aspect, and I have personally seen you all rise to the challenge of fighting the most challenging pandemic in our history. We have come together as a team to respond to

the call, to serve those most in need of your expert care and compassion. I could not be more proud or more grateful for your personal contributions, sacrifice, and ability to live out our mission during the hardest of times. You showed you care, above all else. While 2020 is behind us, we continue to fight the pandemic with expert clinical care, cutting-

edge medications, and the highest level of compassion. Excitedly, we have also begun to

Related to our key growth strategies in 2021, they are much like New Year’s Resolutions. We are not changing anything drastically from 2020 (and many key strategies were delayed as a result of the pandemic); we are just working to be the best version of ourselves! In closing, I am very passionate and committed to our ongoing support for our frontline colleagues, and moving forward in 2021 with our organizational goals. I encourage you to please continue to use all the resources you have so that your voice can be heard. Thanks again for your steadfast dedication to RMC and our community! Warm regards,

Hope Has Arrived - RMC Colleagues Receive COVID Vaccine RMC received our first allocation of the COVID-19 vaccine on Monday, December 21. Cutting-Edge COVID Treatment - Monoclonal Antibody Infusion Lawrence Locker lives with this daughter and son-in-law, who tested positive for COVID-19. Shortly after, Lawrence began experiencing COVID-like symptoms and tested positive, as well. That same day, he was referred by his provider to RMC to receive a Monoclonal Antibody Infusion, a treatment for COVID patients considered at-risk for developing more serious symptoms. One day after his infusion, he reported experiencing little to no COVID-like symptoms. Today, Lawrence feels, “110% better” and is excited to celebrate his 91st birthday this month. This is how a pandemic ends.

Hope is on the horizon. A COVID-19 vaccine is coming. While the vaccine is voluntary, it’s our first step toward ending this global fight. By working together, we hope to soon return to gathering with friends and loved ones, dining out and shopping, being part of a roaring crowd. Help us beat the virus. Watch for more information about how and where to receive the vaccine.

Keeping our friends healthy and reducing the spread of COVID-19 is important to us. So, for the first time since 1986, The Research Foundation’s 2020 Candlelight Ball scheduled for November 7, 2020 was cancelled. The current pandemic has caused the foundation’s fundraising efforts to suffer. But the individuals served through their programs still need your support. Join Research Medical Center physician groups, businesses and individuals as a Candlelight Circle Supporter.
