Mit der Panoramakabinenbahn von Sexten und der Umlaufbahn Vierschach erklimmen Sie bequem den schönsten Aussichtsberg des UNESCO Weltnaturerbes. Kinder lieben den neuen Bergspielpark „Kinderalm“ mit kleinem Almdorf beim Helm-Restaurant auf 2.000 m - auch kulinarisch ein Geheimtipp. Frühaufsteher kommen wegen des sagenhaften Sonnenaufgangs (wöchentliche Sonderfahrten mit Bergbahn) und Wanderer finden hier eine schier unerschöpfliche Vielfalt an Wanderwegen hautnah an der italienisch-österreichischen Grenze.
A tre minuti a piedi dal centro di San Candido, la seggiovia a 4 posti Baranci sale rapidamente a quota 1500 m, dove si ergono le imponenti guglie del Monte Baranci, meta di vacanze a portata di mano che pare fatta apposta per le famiglie. L’attrattiva principale è il Fun-Bob, la pista estiva di bob lunga 1,7 km, ma nei pressi del Rifugio Gigante Baranci ci sono anche una pista tubing, un castello gonfiabile, i laghetti nati dalle impronte del gigante Baranci, un’ area relax e il parco avventura per bambini, da oggi ancora più grande con nuovi percorsi anche per ragazzi.

Auf 1950 m Seehöhe verbirgt sich mit den Rotwandwiesen ein wahres Naturjuwel, das mit der Rotwand-Gondelbahn ab Sexten/Bad Moos schnell erreicht ist. An der Bergstation lebt das kleinste Rentierrudel der Alpen. Das Erlebnis reicht vom abwechslungsreichen Familienrundweg (kinderwagentauglich) bis zum anspruchsvollen Klettersteig zur Rowandspitze und weiter zum Alpinisteig. An der Anderter Alpe befindet sich das Freilichtmuseum 1. Weltkrieg - zu Fuß in 45 Min. erreichbar - mehrmals wöchentlich mit Führungen.
Con la funivia panoramica di Sesto e la cabinovia di Versciaco si può salire comodamente sulla vetta che offre le vedute più belle del patrimonio naturale dell’UNESCO. I bambini adorano il nuovo parco giochi “L’alpe dei bambini”, un villaggio di piccole baite di legno vicino al Ristorante Monte Elmo a 2000 m di quota, da provare anche per la buona cucina. I più mattinieri arrivano presto per ammirare lo spettacolo dell’alba (corse speciali settimanali in funivia), mentre gli escursionisti trovano qui un’infinità di sentieri vicinissimi al confine italo-austriaco.
A 1950 m s.l.m. si nasconde un vero gioiello naturale: i Prati di Croda Rossa, facilmente raggiungibili con la cabinovia Croda Rossa da Sesto/Bagni di Moso. Vicino alla stazione a monte vive la mandria di renne più piccola delle Alpi. Le escursioni spaziano dal sentiero circolare per famiglie (percorribile anche con i passeggini), all’impegnativa via ferrata che porta in cima alla Croda Rossa, alla Strada degli Alpini. Sull’Alpe di Anderta si trova il Museo all’aperto della Grande Guerra, raggiungibile in 45 min. di cammino, con diverse visite guidate alla settimana.
With the panoramic gondola lift from Sesto and the Versciaco cable car it’s easy to climb the mountain boasting the most beautiful views up to the UNESCO world heritage site. Children love the new ‘Kinderalm’ mountain play area with small mountain village by the Monte Elmo restaurant at 2,000 m - the food’s also a hot tip. Early risers come because of the legendary sunrise (special weekly trips by mountain lift) and hikers find here a well nigh inexhaustible variety of hiking trails within touching distance of the Italian-Austrian border.
Three minutes on foot from San Candido village centre, the 4-seater Baranci chair lift quickly takes you up to 1,500 m. Here the mighty peaks of Monte Baranci tower up - a recreation centre, as though made for families. Highlight is the Fun Bob, a 1.7 km long summer toboggan run. Other attractions as well as the Rifugio Gigante Baranci: tubing track, huge bouncy castle, ponds as Baranci the Giant’s footprints, relaxation area and the extended children’s climbing area with new routes for teenagers too.

At 1950 m above sea level, the Croda Rossa meadows harbour a veritable jewel of nature, which is easy to get to on the Croda Rossa gondola lift from Sesto/Moso. The smallest reindeer herd in the Alps lives at the summit station. The experience ranges from a richly varied family circular walk (buggy friendly) to a challenging via ferrata up to the Croda Rossa summit and beyond to the Strada degli Alpini. The First World War Open Air Museum is situated on the Anderter Alpe - 45 min. on foot - guided tours several times a week.

Dopo l’ampliamento il rifugio presso la stazione a valle della Signaue è ancora più accogliente. Ampio parcheggio, terrazza soleggiata, escursioni alle malghe di Sesto, parco giochi.
La “Cima Croda Rossa” e la “Strada degli Alpini” sono tra le vie ferrate più famose delle Dolomiti. Dalla cabinovia Croda Rossa si raggiungono i sentieri della Grande Guerra.

Very successfully extended, the mountain hut by the Signaue valley station is even more inviting. Large car park and sun terrace, starting point for the Sesto mountain pastures, rustic play area.
The via ferrata on the Croda Rossa and the “Strada degli Alpini” are amongst the most famous in the Dolomites. Starting from the Croda Rossa cable car you reach the paths once used in the First World War.

I corsi di cucina per imparare a preparare il piatto simbolo dell’Alto Adige si svolgono ogni mercoledì alle 10 al Ristorante Monte Elmo (25/06-03/09/2014) con degustazione finale (iscrizioni fino alle ore 17 del giorno precedente).
Dal 10/07 all’11/09/2014 ogni giovedì (tempo permettendo) la funivia Monte Elmo-Sesto effettua una corsa speciale all’alba per assistere a questo eccezionale spettacolo della natura, con colazione al Ristorante Monte Elmo (iscrizioni fino alle ore 17 del giorno precedente).
