PENTOLA D’ORO AWARD CATALDI FRESH MARKET INC

Back in 1979 my parents Francesco and Rosa Cataldi first opened their doors of a local, independent grocery store called “Generi Alimentari Cataldi” in Lamezia Terme, near Calabria, Italy. It was the start of what would become a long family tradition. The store was small but carried everything you could possibly want, ranging from groceries to farm products. In 1989, my parents decided to come to Canada and open a grocery store with a European touch and called it “Lamezia Grocery”. As our family grew, so did our passion for the business, meaning it was time to expand. Today we proudly serve two locations in Toronto and Vaughan.

Cataldi Fresh Market symbolizes Italy and its rich culinary history, and with this in mind we are constantly striving to be a true Italian marketplace!
