During the Spring I took the opportunity to spend a lovely weekend in Brescia, which is North of Italy. There I meant with Mario Rossi, a professional photographer with a large studio in Brescia, Italy.
Quickly I realized he is truly a very talented artist, with many years of experience in the Fash ion Industry. It was one of my most exciting shoots so far even as one who has studied photography myself. I can say his work is a combi nation of technical and artistic creativity that produces a high level of quality. I am passionate about modeling and photography, in fact, I have spent many years following this great hobby of photography and I will continue with this fantastic art as long as possible. I started modeling at the age of 18, with a series of tender and lovely artistic nude, very inno cent ones, My interest peaked when a girlfriend of mine at the school I attended showed me some of the work she did. Her images were so great to me. I was very fascinated by those images I wanted similar ones. I connected with the same photographer that my girlfriend had done images with. The photographer focused their attention on my body se lecting the most attractive part. From then on, I realized that modeling was my great passion and I started to look for photog raphers to get new pictures tak Myen. only regret is that I did not work with people that were not as passionate and leaned enough for me to have quality images and solid collaborations earlier in my career. For me, it is time lost, but that will never stop my
In time I have learned much more. In that learning process, I attended a photography school, which really gave me the right perspective to carry on my passion.

I have been published in national and international magazines. I have learned that the quality of images in your portfolio makes a large difference, and I’m proud of my own portfolio.
Meanwhile, I started to pose for calendars and worked for art galleries, showrooms, and work shops. I have been on several runways for stylists such as Korn Taylor, Atelier Clodian, Cavalca, Capogiro Due, Rita Balestrieri, Aberdeen Fashion Week, Wasim Alarnab, Noi Sposi, and I have been to Berlin for The Look of the Year.
My ambition is to make my voice heard about the concerns of mature models. There are so many mature female and male models out there that look great and have a fascinat ing glamorous look that can give value both in the commercial and in the arts. I believe that they are overlooked because of their age and not for their beautiful looks and persona. Magnetism comes from people who have lived, and through living comes experience. So the next time you shoot please, reflect on this, and let’s rethink how mature models are viewed in this industry. Give a chance to people who have years behind them. They express a special type of glamour and shine... It would be fantastic to know that I am able to contribute to this cause. I have to start this story to explain why I had my affair, it’s in no way saying I’m shallow or a bad person, but we all have our moments of weakness and we all do have expectations of what our partner should be to hold our sexual attraction toward them, and a lot of the time this is why people break up or get a divorce.

1. Season chicken: Pat chicken dry with paper towels then sprinkle with salt and pepper.
9. Uncover 20 minutes: Remove lid and let it simmer for a further 20 minutes. Chicken will be cooked - internal temperature 75°C/167°F or slightly higher.
10. Creamy sauce: Remove chicken to a plate. Add cream and stir. Once it comes up to a simmer, taste sauce (I know, big ask!), and add more salt if desired..

7. Return chicken to sauce: Return chicken back into the sauce with the skin side up.
2. Brown thighs: Melt butter over medium-high heat in a large skillet or heavy based pot with a lid. Add chicken thighs, skin side down, and cook for 4 to 5 minutes until golden brown. Turn and cook the other side for 1 minute then remove to a plate.
8. Simmer covered 10 minutes: Once it comes to a simmer, adjust heat so it’s bubbling constantly but not rapidly (see video) - medium-low on my stove. Cover with lid and simmer 10 minutes.
11. Serve! Return chicken into the sauce then remove from the stove. Sprinkle with parsley and serve! Traditionally served over mashed potato or rice. Also ideal with short pasta like penne, ziti or macaroni.
2. Wine – Any dry white wine will work great here, though chardonnay is particularly good because it adds good flavor. Don’t use anything too sweet or too woody.

1.NotesChicken – Needs to be skin on, bone in pieces so they don’t overcook and dry out. If you are dead set on making this with boneless breast, brown it per recipe, simmer sauce with lid off for 15 minutes (to reduce), then add breast and simmer with lid on for 6 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 65°C/149°F. For boneless thigh, do the same except the internal temperature should be 75°C/167°F.
6. Wine and chicken stock: Add wine and chicken stock. Stir, scraping the base of the pot to dissolve the brown residue stuck to the pan into the sauce.

ly. Knowing that someone has made room in their home for something I’ve created just blows my mind. Buying art is not a need, but a fulfillment of emotional enlighten ment and I’m proud to be a part of that world. You’ve not always been an artist, so how did you get started?
That’s true, I received my Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and work as an engineer designing new products for the majority of my career. I’ve created thousands of new product designs and have been fortunate to be the lead design engineer on a multi tude of patents. I’d never picked up an artist’s brush until about 3 ½ years Iago.had always enjoyed photography as a hobby since childhood and that is what ultimately got me into my first art gallery. Once I got into my first gallery and saw how competitive and watered-down photography had be come with the advent of good cell phone cameras, I knew I needed to differentiate my work. My photog raphy had always been nature based and I began printing my work on sheet PVC instead of paper because of the unique look it gave my images. From that point, I started experimenting with painting on my printed nature images and received wonderful feedback and sales on those style of images. My first foray into body painting models for this type of art started in February of I2017.had a friend that is a very talented air brush artist help me with the first
set and I found that I didn’t like the look of the airbrush ing on the models, so I picked up a brush, dipped it into my paints, brushed it onto the model and that began the movement toward BodyPaintArt. Where do you see yourself taking your art next? I plan to concentrate more time into painting on my current collection of images that have been created over the last couple of years. I have been printing on new mediums, such as aluminum & canvas and have withexperimentingbeenpainting
Each surface requires different painting techniques and I hope to hone my skills in these areas. I won’t have time to invest in creating much more of the set de signed BodyPaintArt as we are expecting the birth of our child in late October/ear ly November and I begin law school this August. Sure, it’s not easy! People seem to have lost the value in art, maybe due to eco nomics in todays society where most live paycheck to paycheck and find art as a luxury and not a necessity. If it is truly your passion, do your research and have a plan as to what you want to create, how you want to market it and where you want to show and sell your creations. Unfortunately, the vast majority struggle with financing a personal life through art, but with good talent and extremely hard work, finding a way to balance the joy of creat ing art with the financial needs of our society is
Looking retrospectively at 2017 the industry cited important shifts across the diversity spectrum and for the year that was, racial diversity came out the winner with 32.5% of the top international publications featuring people of colour, a 3.5% increase over 2017. (The fashion spot) Body diversity saw a marginal increase from the previous year and it’s greatest triumph the inclusion of 90 ‘plus size’ models on the runways for Spring Fashion Week in New York. The real figures though revealing that the 90 who walked, represented less than 4% of the 2601 runway appearances in total. Not quite as impressive, but yes still an important step in the right direction. The least exciting number for body diversity was it’s representation across the top international publications with just 1% of plus size models featured, showing a marginal increase on 2016’s 0.9%. That number equates to just 8 covers out of 679 belonging to a model, size 12 or over. These numbers are significant because they tell a story and part of that narrative is that the real work on the inclusion of diverse representation within the fashion industry has only just begun with much work needing to be done if we want to see this small yet meaningful increasing advancing to normal.

The requirement doesn’t just rest on the shoulders of Vogue or Harpers Bazaar, or even New York Fashion Week. It has to become ingrained in our personal value system as individuals, as consumers, as fashion retailers, and as designers, stylists, pho tographers, and hair and make up artists, creative directors and influencers. And yes, Vogue. My feeling is that it’s going to take a shift from ‘the one’ to fuel and support the work that is being done at the top. The truth is the platform for body diversity is emerging even if the stats look small and new opportunities are starting to devel op but this mountain is a long way from being conquered and until we start to consider our individual role in the game, 1% just might remain 1%.
The Fashion Law cited the Washington Post fashion critic Robin Givhan in stating, “We need to get to a point at which inclusiveness feels organic. And IS organic. That we get to a point where the shows feel like they are speaking to the wide range of consumers, but without turning the runway into some kind of human assembly line in which one-of-each is the standard.” As consumers, we look to the industry to lead the change, but are our expectations a little misplaced? Is it only the responsibili ty of the ‘giants’? I have been recently challenged myself with this question; not that of the importance of diversity in body image because I am 100% behind that, but found myself wrestling with how this belief shows up in my own life and in my work as a fashion stylist.
The catalyst, a newly launched swimwear label I was introduced to, Harmony Swim. This is a brand that not only speaks the message of beauty at every size, but also demonstrates the heart of their message visually in the upfront marketing of their brand, and that, is unfortunately rare. So the question remains. How authentic is our support of body diversity in our everyday? Do we genuinely back the message or are we simply giving it lip service? How do we really feel about cellulite on the runway, in our magazines and Instagram feeds? Are we comfortable with that? And if the answer is yes, how are we personally promoting that message? And to the high street and mainstream fashion brands, the brands that the vast majority of us are wearing; size ranges might well be available from a size 4 to a 16, but how many of them are using size 16 models to front campaigns?
