As a young girl ,I always knew somehow , I wanted to be model . Growing up in U.S Virgin Islands , I didn’t see much opportunity . My mother wanted us to have more opportunities so she brought to the states . As time pasted , Life happened kids came into pic ture. They became my first responsibility and my dreams were no longer on my list of important decisions . As the years came and went , I took care of my kids and worked jobs that had no mean ing and was in relationships that serve no purpose but to keep me wanting better and somehow to live my dreams of becoming a model.

By following my dreams and becoming a model and putting forth my all, I showed them they can do anything the put their minds too. As of today, I have been in several fash ion shows, music videos, commercials and photo shoots. Currently, I am a brand ambassador for sev eral up-and-coming de signers that have showed in New York Fashion Week, LA, Miami as well as Atlanta.

I also participage in digi tal advertising for online collections and boutiques. I put the time in to fur ther my career, pursuits, and passion the fashion industry. And because of this I believe the greatest reward is proving to myself that I can accomplish any goal I set forth.

I was that little girl that people always picked on in school.I was that teen that got pregnant at age14. And everybody turned they nose at me and didn’t want me play ing with they kids. I grew up with no father so I felt that any man that loves me I am Lucky to have him. All because I never had that father figure in my life. So I ended up in a abusive relationship which I stayed in for years and had 3loving babies. But I figured out what love was. I found myself when I finally left him in the past. With all the negativity that took place in my life I found out ways to make them

positive. I started modeling last year in March2018.Did my first fashion show in November2018.Started back writing my book march2019. Started my clothing store June 2018 and now I am working on my positive me group which it was inspired by my life my back ground. Seeing others go through storms.Watching us woman bash one another instead of helping. Watching people laugh at other women success and finding negative things to say instead of support and up lift that person.

This group is going to give you all of that. I am willing to help women all over so I want to start traveling. I have a vision and I am not done until my vision here on earth why I am living is complete.Never give up on yourself you deserve to be happy. And helping others makes me happy. I never thought that I would made it this far. But i did I could not have done it without having faith in God. None of this would be possible.

Miguel Wilson began his career in fashion as a custom cloth ier making suits for business professionals, athletes and also for those in politics and religion.

His collection has been worn by countless celebrities and has been published in maga zines throughout.

Miguel Wilson clothing line is showcased at high-end bridal boutiques. His looks have been worn by many major celebrities including Will Packer, Hip Hop Artist 2 Chains, Hip Hop Artist Waka Flocka Flame, Peter Thomas, Todd Tucker, NFL players such as Bobby Rainey and many many more.

The Atlanta Fashion and Polo Classic Event spans over the course of three days starting on Friday October 7th, 2022 titled the Black Tie Experience at the Legacy Center from 7pm to 11pm. It included Host Tv/Radio Personality Guy Lambert and Radio Personality DJ Frank Ski and one of Iconique Magazines Cover feature the talented R&B Legend Mr. Tony Terry. Also the guest was Serenaded by Violinist Alex and “Live” Music by Quin & Jukbox.

The first night was filled with positive energy. “The posh environment spoke to my very soul” said Nisha Glenn of iWerk Magazine. “The People, the Cars, the Food, the Location! Everything was on point” she exclaimed! “I had the opportunity to meet some well estab lished professionals in just about every business sector. It was amazing” said Nisha Glenn. The event showcases some of Miguel’s personal cars from his collection. There was also gourmet food around every corner. Not one person could walk five feet and now be greeted with something spectacular and different. Some of the guest where Mesmerized by how everything was put together and Executed. It was definitely a must have event to be in attendance.

The second night was titled “Polos & Pumps Day Party at the Fox Theatre on October 8th, 2022 from 11am to 3pm. The event featured host was Drummer Boy, DJ Farrari Sim mons and Hip Hop Recording Artist Pastor Troy. Later that night Miguel Wilson host ed the Cocktails & Cigars under the Stars at the Georgian Hotel from 7pm to 10pm. The DJ that night was none other than DJ Dark Knight.

I THOUGHT WE WAS JUST MEETING FOR COFFEE!

I have to start this story to explain why I had my affair, it’s in no way saying I’m shallow or a bad person, but we all have our moments of weakness and we all do have expectations of what our partner should be to hold our sexual attraction toward them, and a lot of the time this is why people break up or get a divorce. When I was 22 years old I was in a long dis tance relationship with my then girlfriend (20 years old) whom was away at university. We were going through a bit of a rough patch as she spent most of her time “studying” and couldn’t talk to me online or on the phone during nor mal hours but then I’d find out later in the week that she was at the bars partying it up like every other college/university aged person would do. I never went to college/university myself, I instead started a career in the military. We had talked about me getting out to follow her and be stay at home dad while she went to work and made more than enough to support us. I ad mit it sounded like a good idea at the time, she was one of the smartest people in her high school when she graduated but the stress of university level courses started to make her second guess herself when she would fail quizes and tests she had been up all night studying for. I would get phone calls at 1 am of her crying and wanting to quit university, but I would remind her of our plans and she couldn’t give up on our future because I just couldn’t see us being together if her only option was to work at McDonalds for the rest of her life. This went on for the first year of her away at university, then she spent the summer with her mother traveling Europe. When she started back at school in the fall she met some new friends and started living in a house off campus. When I saw her she definitely exceeded the “Freshman 15” rule and put on a lot of weight. I’m Phatz Williams and here is my very 1st full couture collection. It was a great challenge to my skills as a Design er. It took me like 2 months to come up with the collection from step 1 to the complete end process. With the theme of my collection, the cohesiveness and the exact fit to em

body every model, to show all the curves or for the men, so there assets.

My theme for the collection was Royal comes in all shapes, the color pattern I stayed within to show it cohesiveness was Purple, Black, Grey and splash of White. All acces sories and shoes was provided by the model’s. My show Stopper piece was the most technical and hardest piece, because I had to almost sew it on the model. By the breast straps having to fit her breast exactly and the back support straps had to be placed exactly correct so she could walk the runway without any malfunctions.

Overall this show was so amazing, it really gave me a test of tests as far as designing and being on point. Every outfit that you see worn in the pictures was made from the start with simple fabric by me directly. With no help and noth ing was store bought from a boutique. I usually don’t do competitions, but it just was nice to show off that I have the skill set to do it if needed. Plus show that I’m not a 1 trick pony, my background is extensive and my Degree in Fashion Design helped boost that up more.

All the Model’s wore their looks perfectly, and made my designs come to life. I am proud to say that two of my Brand Ambassadors also traveled from Atlanta, GA to Fayetteville, NC to support and showcase my designs. I will always appreciate the love they give me so I’m thank ing them out loud, Della Reeves and Nate Smith for always having my back.

BODY DIVERSITY IN FASHION

Looking retrospectively at 2017 the industry cited important shifts across the diversity spectrum and for the year that was, racial diversity came out the winner with 32.5% of the top international publications featuring people of colour, a 3.5% increase over 2017. (The fashion spot)

Body diversity saw a marginal increase from the previous year and it’s greatest triumph the inclusion of 90 ‘plus size’ models on the runways for Spring Fashion Week in New York. The real figures though revealing that the 90 who walked, represented less than 4% of the 2601 runway appearances in total. Not quite as impressive, but yes still an important step in the right direction.

The least exciting number for body diversity was it’s representation across the top international publications with just 1% of plus size models featured, showing a marginal increase on 2016’s 0.9%. That number equates to just 8 covers out of 679 belonging to a model, size 12 or over.

These numbers are significant because they tell a story and part of that narrative is that the real work on the inclusion of diverse representation within the fashion industry has only just begun with much work needing to be done if we want to see this small yet meaningful increasing advancing to normal.

The Fashion Law cited the Washington Post fashion critic Robin Givhan in stating,

“We need to get to a point at which inclusiveness feels organic. And IS organic. That we get to a point where the shows feel like they are speaking to the wide range of consumers, but without turning the runway into some kind of human assembly line in which one-of-each is the standard.”

As consumers, we look to the industry to lead the change, but are our expectations a little misplaced? Is it only the responsibili ty of the ‘giants’?

I have been recently challenged myself with this question; not that of the importance of diversity in body image because I am 100% behind that, but found myself wrestling with how this belief shows up in my own life and in my work as a fashion stylist.

The catalyst, a newly launched swimwear label I was introduced to, Harmony Swim. This is a brand that not only speaks the message of beauty at every size, but also demonstrates the heart of their message visually in the upfront marketing of their brand, and that, is unfortunately rare.

So the question remains. How authentic is our support of body diversity in our everyday? Do we genuinely back the message or are we simply giving it lip service? How do we really feel about cellulite on the runway, in our magazines and Instagram feeds? Are we comfortable with that? And if the answer is yes, how are we personally promoting that message?

And to the high street and mainstream fashion brands, the brands that the vast majority of us are wearing; size ranges might well be available from a size 4 to a 16, but how many of them are using size 16 models to front campaigns?

The requirement doesn’t just rest on the shoulders of Vogue or Harpers Bazaar, or even New York Fashion Week. It has to become ingrained in our personal value system as individuals, as consumers, as fashion retailers, and as designers, stylists, pho tographers, and hair and make up artists, creative directors and influencers. And yes, Vogue.

My feeling is that it’s going to take a shift from ‘the one’ to fuel and support the work that is being done at the top.

The truth is the platform for body diversity is emerging even if the stats look small and new opportunities are starting to devel op but this mountain is a long way from being conquered and until we start to consider our individual role in the game, 1% just might remain 1%.
