As well as the general courses, Instituto Cervantes offers a variety of Spanish language courses specially designed to meet the interests and needs of our students. SPANISH AND HISPANIC AMERICAN LITERATURE COURSE* 30 hours advanced course. Through the study of some of the most relevant Spanish and Hispanic American authors, students will strengthen and improve their command of Spanish. SPANISH CUISINE COURSE* NEW!!! Tapas has become a very popular way of enjoying food all around the world. Unlike what many people think, Tapas or Tapeo is not a type of food, it is a way of enjoying food. We in Spain believe that the Tapeo is the perfect excuse for getting together either at home or at the local bar to enjoy each other´s company while having a drink with some Tapas. The Cervantes Institute in Sydney would like to offer that sentiment and embark you and friends in a trip of flavours around Spain to enjoy and learn the making of tapas from different regions. This 15 hour course will take you to learn how to produce Tapas in a very easy and friendly way so you will be always ready for (Un Tapeo en Casa) Tapas at home. This course will be run in English. This 30 hour course is for professionals who wish to learn the norms of business communication and business practice in the Spanish speaking world.
SPANISH FOR TRAVELLERS*
This crash course for beginners lasts 5 weeks with 6 hours per week and will provide you with the language used in daily situations while travelling.
PRIVATE LESSONS (FROM 1 TO 3 STUDENTS)
These lessons are tailored to address individual’s particular needs and take place at Instituto Cervantes. Lessons can be one-on-one or groups of up to three. A minimum purchase of 15 hours, which must be used within three months, is required. The schedule will be established before the start of the course. *These special courses depend on student demand. PREPARATION COURSES FOR DELE EXAMS If you are planning to sit the DELE exam (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1 or C2) and want to get familiar with its dynamics, its parts and its exercises, Instituto Cervantes offers a 15 hour preparatory course of five weeks. COURSES ON-LINE (AVE) You can now learn on-line at your own pace using the Aula Virtual de Español (AVE). AVE is an interactive platform specifically designed by the Instituto Cervantes for distance learning. Currently Instituto Cervantes of Sydney offers individual courses without a tutor. Courses with tutor assistance will be incorporated soon. You can enrol for these courses at any time and a username and password will be provided to you and allow you to complete the course in a three-month period. Levels: Fee:

ON-LINE COURSES TO PREPARE FOR THE DELE EXAM: B1 & B2 These courses are organized following the same structure as the DELE exams. •Students should consider their personal commitments and circumstances before enrolment as we regret that no fees are refundable under any circumstances once the course has started.
