Starting a New Animation

When loading 2animate please select ‘advanced mode’ and this will load the features used in this training manual. Step 1. Click on the

Making an Animation 2. You might want to leave the first background frame unanimated in case you need a fresh frame later on.
1. Draw the back ground of your animation

4. Click ‘add frame’ to create more frames.
3. Drag and drop the background frame into new frames, so you don’t have to keep drawing the same background.
Think of the number of frames your animation will need, the more frames per movement the smother the animation! But don’t use too many!

Making an Animation
This example shows changes made to 6 sides to cerate the effect of a sunset.
Click the play button to playback the frames in order, from here you can see if there are any mistakes in the animation.
Note the changes made in each side to create the flow and changes during a sunset.

Adding an image

You may want to insert a clip art or saved image in to your animation, here’s how to do it….
1. Click the picture button.
2. From the open file window pick one of the clip art provided or browse to one you have saved.
3. Click open. The picture will now appear in on the drawing area. This can be moved and resized by use of your cursor. 9.
Inbetweening
Inbetweening helps you animate objects automatically that may move across the screen or become larger if the object is coming towards you. In this example a stick man will move across the screen and towards you.
3. Click the Inbetweening button. 1. Draw the stick man in his starting place.
2. Add the required amount of fames you wish to use.

Inbetweening First Frame.
Last Frame.
1. On the first slide select the object to move using the selection box
4. The program will now create the frames in-between the first and last frames. Click Preview to watch the animation or click Accept and Return to go back to the main program window.
2. Select the last blank frame you created. 3. Select, Drag and resize the object to its finishing point.
