Are you looking for an adventurous career that will allow you to follow your true passion? As a student in the Outdoor Education program, you will have the opportunity to explore the outdoors by learning technical, handson skills related to outdoor activities and industries. Experiences include conservation projects, leadership projects, practical field experience and experiential skills. Students will become Wilderness First Aid certified and have the opportunity to earn additional certifications, thus making them highly sought out for careers.

As a student in the Sport and Exercise Science program, you will have the opportunity to help others improve their health, fitness, performance, and well-being. Students experience hands-on learning using state-ofthe-art cardiorespiratory, motion analysis, electromyography, and body composition analysis equipment in the on-campus Human Performance and Biomechanics Labs. The flexible curriculum and emphasis on highdemand skills set this undergraduate degree apart from others, making it an excellent choice for individuals looking at professions in healthcare and human performance.

ISU scholarships are available in the Bengal Online Scholarship System (BOSS). In order to apply for scholarships in BOSS, you must be fully admitted to ISU and enrolled as an active degree-seeking student.

Your completed application for admission to the University serves as your “scholarship application” for these scholarships. GPA’s are unweighted and scholarships can be renewed up to four years.

As a sport manager, you will work with athletes and organizations as you manage the business aspects of sport and lead sport organizations to success. Students emphasizing in sport operations will gain numerous field experiences through marketing, management, and operations roles. Students will graduate with the skills necessary to help both athletes and athletic programs grow and thrive.

As a student in the Sport Management program, you will engage in practical experiences in the field of sport and learn the day-to-day operations of being a coach. The coaching emphasis within the program strengthens students’ understanding of sport leadership, foundational movement theories, rehabilitation protocols, athletic injury prevention and safety, and coaching strategies. Students will graduate with the skills necessary to work within the athletic field and make a difference in the sports industry.
