Envirolex® is an extensive range of environmentally friendly cables with a Red List Free Declare status, developed for both domes�c and commercial applica�ons. Made with low smoke zero halogen (LSZH) materials, making them PVC free and engineered to reduce environmental impact under fire condi�ons. By reducing emissions of harmful gases that may hinder an evacua�on process during fire, these cables have been designed with safety in mind whilst retaining excellent mechanical and electrical proper�es.

Nexans New Zealand par�cipate in and support Declare, a cri�cal product ingredients transparency pla�orm interna�onally transforming the materials marketplace. WHAT IS DECLARE? A Declare Label provides nutri�on informa�on for building products. Designers and developers who value transparency and long term health, use the system to check which materials are free of red List chemicals. Declare was developed by the Interna�onal Living Future Ins�tute (ILFI). The global Red List is a database of the worst in class toxic chemicals known to be a hazard to health by pollu�ng the environment, bio-accumula�ng up the food chain to reach toxic concentra�ons which harm building occupants, construc�on and factory workers.

Nexans received Red List Free Declare status in 2019 for all Envirolex® and Alsecure® product ranges. These products meet the prerequisite to support green projects a�emp�ng ra�ngs such as NZGBC Home Star, ILFI's transforma�onal CORE and Living Building Challenge standards.
