THE PROPOSAL
Mutual friends brought Abigail Guman and Sage Karam together at a Lehigh/Lafayette tailgate. It wasn’t long before Sage was designing an engagement ring with a Nashville jeweler. At favorite vacation spot OBX, with family physically and FaceTime present, he surprised Abigail with a dreamcome-true proposal.
THE BIG DAY
It was a scorching hot Friday when Abigail and Sage married amid the rolling green hills of a private estate, officiated by Dr. Jarrod Spencer, friend, mentor and sports psychologist for the Philadelphia Flyers and Phantoms. Touches from Sage’s Lebanese heritage enhanced cocktail hour, while the couple’s signature drinks were named for their two doodle pups, Drake and Fetty. Sage’s Road to Indy championship cars and a black-and-white checkered dance floor reflected his racing career, balancing perfectly with the event’s modern, elegant theme. A dream team made it possible, whom the couple adore not just as vendors, but as friends.

THE PROPOSAL
Poornika Kakkanaiah and Tanner Savidge met at Virginia Tech, both members of the marching band. By the end of one December day, Tanner’s gift of an indulgent winery spree saw Poornika nodding off in the car. She awoke at Savidge Farms, with a light-bedecked barn setting the stage for Tanner’s proposal.
THE BIG DAY
With their original plan derailed by COVID-19, Simon Silk Mill provided a convenient wealth of vendors. The micro-gathering feasted on doughnuts, pumpkin cake and mini pies made from scratch by Poornika’s mother. “If the World Was Ending” by JP Saxe and Julia Michaels made for an all-too-fitting first dance! Honoring the couple’s weekly cone tradition, a visit to Owowcow Creamery ended the reception before the party continued at the Grand Eastonian. In a way, the pandemic necessitated a more breathtaking day than they could have imagined, which the couple reprised a year later with the full contingent of guests.

THE PROPOSAL
Olivia Brown and Adam Jaindl met at a work event held at Musikfest, but sparks didn’t start to fly until Adam’s persistence paid off with a second meet-up. They got engaged on Christmas Day in 2019.
THE BIG DAY
Romantic blush and white flowers filled the mansion where the couple staged their wedding, touched by the cozy glow of candles and twinkle lights for an intimate fairy-tale feel. Peonies all the way from Alaska made Olivia’s bouquet ambitions a reality, and a portrait of the couple’s pets conveyed the four-legged family’s blessing. A custom wedding crest made the programs, menus and custom cocktail napkins unique, and turkey from Adam’s family farm was shared with guests as a tasty touch at cocktail hour. In spite of the unpredictability of the pandemic, their dream day was perfect, best of all graced with the happy and healthy attendance of their dearest friends and family.

THE PROPOSAL Chris Keating and Mykal Poole met on a dating app back in August of 2011, and set their first date along the creek in Monocacy Park. Chris proposed on the steps of their first apartment together, while a neighbor leaned over the kneeling groom-to-be to check his mailbox! Mykal returned the favor by proposing right back.
THE BIG DAY
The wedding party prepared at Mykal’s mother’s house, where engraved pocket watches were gifted to the couple’s attendants. Due to COVID-19, they took their guest list from 100-plus to a cozy 25, which made their day all the more intimate—and affordable! Homemade fall-themed decorations outfitted McCarthy’s Red Stag Pub, where the couple was married by a close friend/officiant. They danced their first dance to John Legend’s “All of Me” sung live by DJ Vira. Scrumptious Irish cuisine, warm speeches and heartfelt toasts sent the party into a favorite pastime, singing their hearts out with karaoke.

THE PROPOSAL
Kerri D’Emilio and Rey Jimenez met at a high school house party over a game of flip cup. On a future Thanksgiving together, what started out as Rey offering a prayer to bless the food turned into a long speech giving thanks for each person at the table, culminating in a proposal to Kerri.
THE BIG DAY
Kerri and Rey planned a moody, farm-chic wedding surrounded by open fields and nature, aiming for inviting, fun and not overly orchestrated, staying in a nearby hotel to give their weekend the feel of a destination wedding. Kerri tackled the seating chart, mirrored welcome sign and invites with a Cricut, staining the paper herself and adding a wax seal. What was supposed to be a backyard barbecue vibe complete with pulled pork, ribs and brisket was drenched beyond recognition by torrential rain, but while the weather put a damper on the day, dramatic photos made for a beautiful silver lining.

Brendan Cunningham and Tia Jones found a bright side to social distancing during the pandemic, meeting each other over Instagram interactions. They were engaged at Asbury Park in New Jersey after just two months of dating.
THE BIG DAY
The couple chose an auspicious day for their wedding, the birthday of both Brendan’s mother and Tia’s late father as well as being Memorial Day to honor her father’s career in the USAF. A sweet first look with Tia’s 12-year-old son, Battle, set him up to walk her down the aisle, where he was the one to give her away. Celebrity officiant Reverend Roxy led a ceremony full of laughter and tears, and “Taps” played in memory of Tia’s father ensured there wasn’t a dry eye in sight. As a stylist in the industry for 13 years, it was Tia’s turn in the spotlight, enlisting her favorite vendors to celebrate her own love story!

This past September, I lived out my own happily ever after and married my husband, Will. Here’s an exclusive look inside our special day.
The first thing I did after confirming our venue was book Alisha Nycole & Co.’s team and studio. Her space is so dreamy and is exactly where I envisioned getting ready with my girls.
If you’re on the fence, I would 10/10 recommend doing a first look. It was without a doubt the most special, intimate moment of our whole day. Neither of us could stop crying!
MY SOMETHING BLUE
Can’t say “I do” without you—my nieces and my nephew were my very special “something blue.” I initially asked each of them with a box of blue Josh Early nonpareils!

We had a very small wedding party, which made the day feel so intimate and extra special. My bridesmaid and maid of honor wore Jenny Yoo dresses in shade “Latte” from Bella Bridesmaids Allentown. Guests could seriously not stop complimenting their gowns!
Will surprised me with a stunning radiant-cut engagement ring from Murphy Jewelers, so we returned there to purchase our wedding bands.
Sarah Petryk of Allium Floral Design created the most magical floral arch for our day. It was the perfect touch to the ceremony scene.
SOMETHING SWEET
Our delicious cake was from Sweet Girlz Bakery and was half cookies & cream and half reverse Oreo.
Guests love a drink suggestion! Our signature cocktail was a whiskey sour named after our dog, Koda. One of my best friends designed the sign for us, and it’s now a permanent fixture on our bar at home.
My dad is a school bus driver so, as an ode to him, we chose Leon A. George II School Buses as our guests’ mode of transportation to and from the venue.
Any time someone asked me what the “theme” of our wedding was, I would say: champagne. A champagne cart greeted guests before the ceremony and, later, a wall of champagne place cards led them to their seats. We did a champagne tower during the reception and have since learned that one bottle does not cut it! Always pre-pour those bottom tiers, friends.
Several Style girls made an appearance, and we even convinced Style photographer Alison Conklin to hand off her camera to husband and photographer Geoff and hop in a pic. One of the best in the biz, we felt so incredibly lucky to have Alison, such a dear friend, capture our day.
They don’t call it The View at Morgan Hill for nothing! The venue provided so many photo-ops throughout the day. And one perk of getting married on a golf course is the opportunity to plan a golf cart exit!
