Dolce Patisserie has satisfied the community’s sweet tooth for a while, celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2018. Pitotti makes everything in house, from scratch: chocolates, special occasion cakes and pastries. His signature cake, the Dolce, is a chocolate cake with vanilla crème brûlée layer, fresh raspberries and chocolate mousse.

He also caters weddings, showers and other events. So often he hears his creations are almost too pretty to eat; the key word here is “almost.”

Pitotti always enjoyed cooking with his mother, but it wasn’t until culinary arts study at Northampton Community College, and later at the Culinary Institute of America, that chocolate became his passion. “I enjoy bringing an artistic display to gourmet chocolate,” he says.

Sensational Wine GALEN GLEN WINERY Romantic tranquility. That is how Sarah and Galen Troxell describe Galen Glen, their winery in Andreas. The panorama of rolling hills, neat rows of grapevines and old-world architecture is a feast for the eyes. The wine is a feast for the palate.

Video Production COUNTESS COMMUNICATIONS Marta and Jeff Countess were colleagues on the night shift at WTKR in Norfolk, Virginia, before they married and became business partners. “Jeff worked in sports and I worked in news,” says Marta. “It turned into a love match, and we’ve been telling great stories ever since.”
