A strong Scandinavian Voice in ITF First of all: Tennis is my life. I love the sport. I have played tennis since I was five years old. I met my wife in the local tennis club and we have raised four children who love tennis and play on the highest level in Denmark. Most of my life I have fought for the interest of tennis in my home country, Denmark, and for several years on an international level as well.

development of activities that will generate an additional revenue of 25-50 million dollars per year. This will include initiatives like: • Development of the commercial value of Davis Cup and Fed Cup. • Development of a new classic event. For example a World Championship in tennis. A person who respects diverse opinions and values from all over the world I am sure you understand the importance of diversity. It is critical to have the voice of smaller nations presented at board level and in e.g. the Davis Cup committee to create a more holistic discussion before decisions are made.

The Danish topplayer Caroline Wozniacki has known Thomas Koenigsfeldt since she was a little girl.

Therefore it is my privilege to announce my candidacy for the Board of Directors of ITF. I can contribute to make ITF’s upcoming decisions and changes successful. If I am elected for the Board of Directors of ITF you will get:

I have in the past years been the Danish delegate at events like Tennis Europe and ITF AGM’s. This has led to many exciting conversations with delegates from all around the world, which have inspired me and made me realise the needs of the NAs that must be prioritized by the new ITF. I support our current voting system, however I think all NAs should become active members of ITF in the name of democracy.

A successful businessman from Denmark who can contribute in developing a stronger financial position for ITF and the National Associations (NAs). Tennis is the second largest sport in the world and has a gigantic economy. However, ITF and in general NAs only harvest a small fraction of the revenue and is facing financial challenges. I will support the upcoming President in his attempt to take initiatives, including the

for more players to make a decent living. More talents will then choose to play tennis and the NAs will get the opportunity to develop more players. This will include initiatives like: • Increase in prize money in the ITF Circuit financed by the new revenue generating initiatives • Close cooperation between ITF and the three other organizers of professional tennis: Grand Slams, ATP and WTA • Encourage ATP and WTA to invest in player development for the future of the game

Thomas Koenigsfeldt is multiple national champion and represents Denmark on the international senior level.

A person who will contribute in developing professional tennis In order to develop the game and improve it’s attractiveness it is essential that new tennis stars are developed all over the globe. Therefore, the new ITF should make it possible

A strong Scandinavian voice Denmark is a small country, but the Northern European region has a tradition of being an active part of the international tennis family starting with both Denmark and Sweden being founding members of the ITF. Scandinavia is globally known for democracy, good governance, equality and deep respect for diverse views and opinions. If you recognise these issues and think they need improvement - you should vote for me. I hope for your support!
