QWhere are you going to keep your Emmy®? We intend to display our Emmy® in our company offices, where it will join other awards and prizes. Undoubtedly, the Emmy® is the most prestigious of them all – a truly significant recognition that will incentivize us to meet more challenges and create more projects. In our view, the Emmy® belongs to all the people involved in this amazing series, so it’s only natural to place it where all of us gather.

Q Tell us about the importance of winning an Emmy®?

Winning this award is, first and foremost, a sign that Tehran touched audiences around the world. Beyond its riveting framework-story it also touches upon human issues that are just as relevant everywhere as they are in Israel. That was what we aimed to achieve, and it seems we have succeeded. The Emmy® also signals that the Israeli film and television industry is gaining recognition as a genuine global force. Credit for this goes not only to the creators of Tehran, but to everyone who gave this project a vote of confidence – KAN the Israeli public broadcasting channel, Apple TV which acquired this season and two upcoming ones, and Cineflix Media, which supported us during the first season in the belief that Tehran had the international distribution potential it ultimately proved to have.

Q What upcoming projects are you or would you like to be working on next?

We continue working, non-stop and at full force, creating both dramas and documentaries. We’re in the midst of several new projects – finishing shooting on the second season of Tehran, filming the second season of Magpie, and producing new seasons of some of our successful children’s shows.
