QWhere are you going to keep your Emmy®? One of them will be in the office of our production company Temps Noir, because this award rewards a real teamwork. The whole team worked together to make this film possible, to give it the means to achieve its ambitions and to overcome the difficulties. That’s how we see production and filmmaking: as a shared and a collective work. The award goes to everyone in our company. The other trophies will go to Arte and Telemark, our co-producers and friends, thanks to whom we were able to make this film and with whom we are happy to share this award with.
Q Tell us about the importance of winning an Emmy®?
It is first of all the reward of a hard work with Gregory Monro, of a real risk-taking, and of a never-failing ambition. The road was not easy, but this prize shows that it was worth it! Moreover, the international dimension is very important. We are proud to show this know-how of independent creation to an international audience and to see it recognized by our colleagues around the world. And finally, it is a sign of the crucial role of the public television service, which believed in and supported this film. May this award strengthen it and encourage its documentary ambition!
Q What upcoming projects are you or would you like to be working on next?
We have many projects, and of course with Gregory, but we especially want to carry on exploring the opportunities of international coproduction, which opens up so many new possibilities and horizons. This is my wish for all of us: to keep working without borders, with and for the world at large.
