Building mimics living organism. The nucleus instructs and informs program while the periphery executes it. The only limitation to libraries is the speed at which information can be shared. A central video wall, the “monolith“, acts as a means to keep the library’s content dynamic and relevant.
Trending news and city-related information are displayed on the monolith. The monolith informs visitors as well as showcases posts from trending hashtags. Visitors have access to real-time opinions and are invited to share their own via the Internet.

CHROMATIC RENAISSANCE
NOVEMBER 2015 — In response to a dependency on monochromatic photography, I felt the need to create a series of images that would be “lesser” if not in full colour. This series is an effort to reattach myself to the realm of coloured works, testing my ability to compose two subjects: one of matter and one of light. http://www.i-en.ca/photo/#/chromatic-renaissance/
TALCUM
27 FEBRUARY 2015 — This series served as a brief study into the texture and versatility of Talcum powder. Wet, it can be clad onto the face. Dry, it softens any surface while simultaneously matting it and decreasing its contrast. When blown into the air, its gaseous appearance emphasizes ephemeral movement. http://www.i-en.ca/photo/#/talcum-1/

STAB VARIATION
11 AUGUST 2015 — A visual experiment involving desaturation and varying degrees of digital manipulation to create a juxtaposed feeling of beauty. I’m searching for the threshold in which a human figure is synchronously seductive and repulsive. http://www.i-en.ca/photo/#/stab/
OCTOPUS
8 MARCH 2015 — With mild inspiration from Chinese photographer Ren Hang, this mini series uses the sticky, smelly mollusk in a juxtaposition of beauty. http://www.i-en.ca/photo/#/octopus/
