The story starts when David Copperfield was born and he tells us his life. When David was born his father had already died and his mother, Clara, with his babysitter Pegotty helped him to be born. Betsy Trotwood, a sister of the father of Copperfield, his aunt, who visited to Clara the day than David was born. But she waited to help her in the upbringing of the baby if she is a girl, nevertheless, Betsy left when knew that he is a child. Clara married when Copperfield was about seven year, with the Gentleman, his name was Murdstone. Murdstone was a severe man who liked to marry with rich youngsters and to impose on him later his severe regime. While Clara and Murdstone celebrated their wedding and their honeymoon of his, David is sent to Yarmouth. Then David knows Emily (his first infantile love). David is unhappy with his stepfather and with Ms. Murdstone (his stepfather’s sister) who lives in the home. A day Copperfield bites to Murdstone and the stepfather sends David to a school: Salem-House, farm of his mother. In Salem-House, David meets James Steerforth and Tommy Traddles who will be good friends. On holidays when Copperfield went to home, he discover than her mother, Clara, has had a child, a Murdstone’s child. After, he came to Salem-House. Clara dies because her healthy was bad, and immediately David returned to his home.
Murdstone send him working to London, a bottle factory. But David escapes of this factory after. Copperfield go to Dover where live Betsey, his father’s sister. There his aunt accepts him and he change his name to: Trotwood Copperfield. A new life begins for Copperfield, who will be sent to a new school and he will be cared for Mr. Wickfield, who has a daughter called Agnes. The school gets Betsy's satisfaction. Trotwood archives a work as apprentice of attorney. Where he will know to the daughter of his employer, Dora Spenlow, and he will love her. Dora will be ill and dies, then, David marries with Agnes. They are happy and they have children.
DAVID COPPERFIELD: A child very good than had a hard life. He tells us his life and we can see than it was very difficult for him. CLARA COPPERFIELD: She is David’s mother. Neither her life wasn’t easy and she died young. Mr. MURDSTONE: He married with Clara and he treats very bad to Copperfield. CLARA PEGGOTY: She is Clara and David’s main. When Clara died, she went of the house. AUNT BETSEY: She wanted David was a girl, but in the end she help him. Mr. DICK: He is the aunt Betsey’s accompanist. DAN PEGGOTY: He begins a new life in Australian. And Emily goes with him. EMILY: She was the first love of David and she lived with Peggotty’s family. JAMES STEERFORTH: He is David’s friend who knows in Salem-House. He dishonors to Emily. TOMMY TRADDLES: He is David’s friend who knows in Salem-House.
DORA: She is the first wife of David. She is very beautiful but she will be ill and she dies. AGNES: She is the second wife of David, with her David will be very happy and they have children.
The class project I think than is very complete and very educational, but a bit long. And the book I think than is interesting and enjoyable.
