. Title: Hard Times . Author: Charles Dickens . Publishing House: Oxford Universty . Characters: – Mr Gradgrind: It's a rich man from a rich family. He is very strict and very serious. He is a man of facts and he don't believe in imagination. – Tom Gradgrind: It's the son of Mr Gradgrid. He has a very good relationship with his sister Louisa. – Louisa Gradgrid: It's the dauther of Mr Gradgrid. She has a very good education like her brother. – Sissy Jupe: Her father is a clown in the circus and Mr Gradgrid is the responsible of her education. – Stephen Blackpool: He works at the factory. His wife drink a lot and he wants to separate. He has a hard life. – Mr Bounderby: He is other rich man. He is the owner of the Bounderby's Bank. He gets married with the dauther of Mr Gradgrid.


. SUMMARY: This book tell us the story about the hard times in the city of Coketown. The Gradgrid family is very a rich and they don´t have problems with money , they are owners of a factory in the city. And the book tell us the story about poor people like Sissy Jup , the dad of Sissy abandoned her and Mr Gradgrid is the responsible of her. Other poor person is Stephen Blackpool , his wife drink a lot and he wants to separated but he doesn´t have money for this. Some years later the Gradgrid family meet hard times , Louisa gets married and later fell in love of Mr Harthouse , Tom is very lazy and he has problems at work. At the end of the book Mr Gradgrid learns that facts aren´t the most important thing and he knows how to use imagination and feelings.

. PERSONAL OPINION: I don´t like this book is very boring and it´s about things that young people like me don´t like. The book is very dificult to read because mix the story of a lot of characters. I hate this book.
