PERSONAL OPINION: I didn't like this book, I think it was really boring and hard to read. It's so boring that if I had to read it again I'll fell asleep. It mixes a lot the characters and it has a very old language. I hate this type of books.
SUMMARY: This book tells the story about the Grandgrind's family, formed by Louisa, Thomas, Mr Grandgrind, Mrs Grandgrind and another two children. A girl called Sissi Jupe enters in the family because her father abandoned her. Louisa gets married with Mr Grandgring's friend, Mr Bounderby, who lies saying that he worked so hard to get rich. She doesn't love him, but she marry him because her brother has a big debt. She meets a man called Mr Harthouse, and because of she only knows about facts, she doesn't know if she loves him. Meanwhile, Mr Bounderby falls in love with Mrs Sparsit. This book tells another story, about a man who is married with a drunk. And he's in love with his friend, called Rachael, but he can't separate rom his wife because it's really expensive, and he's poor.
