INFORMATION ABOUT THE BOOK

Title: The happy prince - The Selfish Giant Author: Oscar Wilde Publishing House: Black cat, Vicens Vives. Main Characters: The happy prince: is a statue of a happy price, he is covered with gold, he has two blue sapphieres for eyes and on his sword there is a big red ruby. The little swallow: it’s a little swallow but with a big heart, he fly to Egypt with his friends. The Selfish Giant: he is very tall and big, and very selfish with the children.

Summary The Happy Prince: In this history, the statue of the happy prince is very sad and alone. One day a little swallow approached him and he talked to it. They spoke and together helped poor people. The little swallow took parts from the prince’s body and gave it to the poors persons. At the end, the little swallow died and the prince’s heart broke. An angel took them to a paradise much better, where the swallow can sing and the prince can live forever. Personal Opinion: I like this history because is very nice and teaches that we must have a good heart.

The Selfish Giant: Once upon a time a selfish giant had a beautiful garden where the children went to play every day when he go away. There always were spring. He was very unfriendly and one day he builded a wall to stop the children play in his garden and always was winter. He felt very alone and one day there were a hole in the wall and the children go back to the garden. He notices that they were happy and was spring again. So he let the children play and was happy. Finally the giant died under a tree.

Personal Opinion: this is a very beautiful history and I learned that is better be good than selfish.
