The Aurora Explorer Flights are your backstage pass for viewing the greatest show on earth

J

oin us for a Northern Lights Expedition out of the ordinary! No freezing, no long drives and best of all: No clouds or light pollution. As a member of the Aurora Explorer Expeditions you will be part of aviation history.

The Aurora Explorer Flights are scheduled to take-off on November 7, 8, 9 and 10, 2018 from Seattle– Tacoma International and to coincide with the darker times in the Moon’s phases. Our privately chartered aircraft will take-off on departure dates at around 10pm. We will then travel north to the Yukon and the Canadian Northwest Territories and fly for about two and half hours within the auroral oval sections of greatest aurora activity in the stratosphere, at around 36,000ft, returning to Seattle around 6am the following day. For optimized visibility, and once we reach cruising altitude, our aircraft will benefit from a special permission to completely turn off the interior lights in the cabin and even the ones on the wingtips of the aircraft. Moreover, At just over 450 miles an hour we’ll keep pace with the rotation of the earth, guaranteeing excellent conditions for photography. Our expert astronomers will be available to talk you through the wonders that your flight will take you past as well as providing more interesting background information to the Lights themselves. Join us for this unique and exclusive night sky odyssey and face the glow of the Northern Lights from the comfort of our private aircraft. Only 65 seats per flight are available on these once-in-a-lifetime adventures. We hope to have the honor and pleasure of your company !

No aisle seats will be sold in order to provide all passengers with a window or next-to-window-access-seat (not to mention a seat to keep cameras and filming equipment).
