STUDENT TESTIMONIES
Eva Ziad Iskandarani Bachelor in Business Administration –Collaborator at the Admissions Department
My name is Eva Ziad Iskandarani. I am Palestinian; however, I have never been there. I was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon. I never expected to be able to study in Spain, but I have always believed that life has its funny way of bringing everything together. This is my second year at IE University campus in Segovia studying the Bachelor in Business Administration. I will be moving to Madrid to start my third year in September. Being a collaborator is about more than just going to events and being there. After two years of being an IE University ambassador, I have come to the realization that it provides you with a lot of underlying aspects that you discover by yourself at every event you attend. Personally, my favorite part about being a collaborator is meeting the upcoming students who tend to be from very different backgrounds. I think people in general are very interesting, especially the way they speak about their ambitions and future plans. This becomes clear when you are a collaborator because you mix with different types of people, clarifying how much more there is to learn about the world every day.
Federica Caso Bachelor in Design –Collaborator at the Marketing Department
I was born in the United States, although my family is half Italian, half Venezuelan. For the first 12 years of my life I lived in Caracas and later moved to Miami. In 2016 I moved to Florence, where I studied for a year and then I transferred to Segovia to start my studies at IE University. I’m currently a third year student in the Bachelor of Design program. As a collaborator, I very much enjoy the opportunity to share my experiences at the university. I believe it is of great importance and value for incoming students to be able to learn about our journey at IE University and also feel supported by us, as current students, to guide them in such an exciting transition. Working closely with the staff and faculty has been enriching and pleasant. Being a collaborator has brought many positive experiences during my time at IE University. I have met an array of people and have attended numerous entertaining events. It is an incredible way to integrate and represent IE University’s community.
Penélope Piraino Bachelor in communications and Digital Media –Collaborator at the Creativity Center
My name is Penélope Piraino. I am 20 years old and was born and raised in Munich, Germany with British and Italian citizenship. I am currently a second year Bachelor in Communications and Digital Media student at Segovia Campus. I am fortunate to be a collaborator for the IE Creativity Center in Segovia. My favorite part is volunteering and helping at the events that IE Creativity Center and Campus Life organize. They are a great opportunity for me to combine my role as a collaborator and connect with students and faculty members simultaneously. Working alongside my supportive mentor Juan Carlos Redondo, the IE Creativity Center Coordinator, has been very insightful. He’s always open for ideas, input, and feedback from collaborators, which increases the value of future events!
