This allows our students to spend a semester abroad, enriching their studies while also giving them the option to travel and broaden their perspectives. In turn, international students from our partner universities are invited to spend a semester, or in some cases, a full academic year with us.

The international exchange option that is a part of IE University undergraduate programs can enhance our students’ academic, personal and professional development. With an

option to choose from a wide variety of prestigious international universities, the semester abroad is an enriching and life-changing experience. Also, IE University participates in several initiatives within the ERASMUS PROGRAM funded by the European Union.

IE University Campus in Segovia

Located in the city of Segovia, IE University offers an immersive campus experience. It is housed in the Convent of Santa Cruz la Real, a historic building declared a national heritage site in 1931.

Our campus in Segovia is only 25 minutes from Madrid via high-speed train, and welcomes students from over 100 countries to a global university setting, with an atmosphere that is both academic and lively. Here, you will discover an ideal student environment where you will make lifelong friends, and be part of a close-knit community. Segovia is a truly enchanting city, full of narrow, winding alleyways, fascinating historic sites and breathtaking architecture. Known throughout Spain for its delicious, traditional cuisine and excellent climate, Segovia is not just a great place to visit, but a great place to live. As a student in Segovia, you will enjoy the serene, natural bea uty of the Segovian landscape, with the hustle and bustle of the Spanish capital a short train distance away.

Each year and average of 130 different countries are represented on campus with over 75% of our students coming from abroad. Our faculty is made up of over 36 nationalities. With small class sizes and a 15:1 student to professor ratio, students have a truly personalized learning experience.

IE University Campus in Madrid

Located in the heart of the city’s financial district, the IE Tower is the fifth tallest tower in Madrid and the seventh in Spain. The 180-meter tower is a bastion of sustainable architecture, providing over 50,000 square meters of dynamic, multiuse space. The IE Tower is a tech-based urban campus that represents the cutting edge of learning innovation. If there’s one thing the Spanish have in abundance, it’s a rich culture and lively festivals. For art lovers, there’s everything from the intricate Islamic artwork of La Alhambra in Granada to Madrid’s world-famous museums to Barcelona’s avant-garde art scene. And as for festivals, again each region has its own—each as exciting as the last.

Admission Process Exchange and visiting students may study for one or two semesters at IE University. However, there are important differences in the application process.

EXCHANGE STUDENT ADMISSIONS

Your home institution must be an IE University partner through a formal exchange agreement. The student’s current university must send official notification directly to IE University confirming the student’s status as an Exchange Student applicant. Once IE University receives this notice, the student may begin the application process. Once admitted to IE University, you remain enrolled with your home institution. • You continue to pay your home institution fees. • All courses you participate in will grant you credit toward your degree, according to the agreement of your institution. • If you are a non-European national, please follow the requirements for a student visa.


VISITING STUDENT ADMISSIONS

APPLICATION DEADLINES

If your home institution does not have a formal exchange agreement with IE University you may apply as a Visiting Student and study for one or two semesters at IE University.

• Students beginning in the September term: before June 30th.

You may apply directly to IE University by completing the admission application form for the Visiting Student Program. The admissions department will notify you directly of your acceptance.

OTHER OPTIONS

• You will pay fees to IE University • You must consult with your home institution regarding credits that can be transferred toward your degree program. • If you are a non-European national, please follow the requirements for student visas.

• Students beginning in the January term: before November 15th.

If you wish to transfer to IE University as a full-time undergraduate student, you must complete the admissions process.
