Informal Assessment During the process, students are assessed every class. At the beginning of the class, teacher will guide a brainstorming, where students are asked to answer some simple questions about the topic and vocabulary they have seen in the previous lesson, In addition, at the end of the class, they are asked to retell some of the vocabulary they have already learnt, in order to get to know if they were paying attention, and to take into consideration how much they remember. It is important to point out that these brainstormings are done both: as an individual and as a whole – class activities. Another way to assess students’ progress is by giving them some comments about their performance while completing a task. By telling them “good job”, “very good”, “well done”, or “are you sure?”, “you should have a look at it again” students get to know how they are doing during their learning process.
