Almost 4 years ago, I attended my first national conference in Australia. It was an eye-opening experience and allowed me to really understand AIESEC. Once I understood AIESEC, I was able to perform better in my role and receive a more rewarding experience in return. Many conferences later, I learned that what you get from a national conference really depends on your attitude. If you intend to only have fun, that is all you will get. Instead, if you intend to connect with AIESECers in different cities, learn more about the organization and become a better version of yourself, the opportunities will be there.
But remember that IGNITE is merely an opportunity platform, not a guaranteed experience, and it is your responsibility as a delegate to make the most of it. Your time and money is precious. Make the most of all those random moments with various people, treasure every conversation, learn 10 new AIESEC dances, take more responsibility towards your role, and learn more about yourself. Can't wait to meet you all!
