This is the third edition of Igniting the Fire Magazine and I pray that this edition is as exciting as the other issues. Each quarter our goal is to keep you up to date with all things pertaining to KGLR Kingdom Glori Radio, ITF Television and the ministers and artists we partner with. Our goal will always be to share what the Lord has placed on our hearts as well as keep you informed, entertained and educated. Even though we are in the midst of the greatest recession since the Great Depression, I believe this year promises to be a year of growth and increase for everyone that trusts in the Lord. Let us not concern ourselves with what it looks like, let us look at what HE looks like. And He [God] looks like victory. Be still and know that He is God‌ Psalm 46:10. We look forward to sharing this awesome move of God with you. So stay tuned to Glori Radio and ITF Magazine for more information. The family of ITF is committed to sharing the Good News with you. Featured Artist As a featured soloist with the Sounds of Blackness (of which have won 3 Grammy’s, 3 Stellar’s, and a NAACP Image Award), Andrea's introspective debut release has R&B, Jazz, and Neo-Soul, influenced songs of Inspiration, Praise & Worship for all to enjoy.

Introducing ANDREA TRIBITT. Her Melodious Message is a fresh, motivating, eclectic collection of songs sure to reach music lovers and those seeking a different and unique sound. After years in the music profession it is now time for Andrea to take the forefront and release the sound that has been enjoyed by so many internationally. Embracing her commission to reach those outside of the churches four walls Andrea defines the very essence of a creative soul. This project is sure to catch the attention of the music lover. “RAW” is a cutting edge A Cappella piece in the style of “Take 6” and “Manhattan Transfer”. All sounds were vocally produced by Andrea. “Suddenly” is soulful and sultry perhaps reminding the listener of an old school “Aretha Franklin”, and “Dare to Believe” sounds as if it were written to accompany a Disney film production.

She has sang at the White House and worked with some of the latest, greatest, and legendary personalities and performers of our time: Quincy Jones, Usher, Be Be Winans, Tyler Perry, Denzel & Paulette Washington, Brian McKnight, Kenny Rodgers, Tricia Yearwood, Kathleen Battles, Jewel, Jenna Bush Hagar and many more. Now, the time is here for Andrea to minister to the masses God’s love, hope, peace, strength, and comfort through her debut CD. “My prayer is that the listener will find calm, sanctity, joy, and resolve from the songs featured. Music is the heart beat of life transcending cultures, language, and any differences we might encounter.” Words I live by -“God does not anoint who we pretend to be He anoints who we are.” The delivery may not be common but a sincere part of who I am. Genuinely yours". ****** For More Information Visit: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/andrea2 www.facebook.com/andreatribitt ******

She effectively wears many hats; as a singer, songwriter, teacher, mentor, author of an up and coming children’s book, voice instructor, and a sought after praise and worship consultant. When this powerful agent of the Kingdom of God ministers heavenly portals are opened, there is an evident shift in the atmosphere; lives are transformed. Andrea flows in such a supernatural prophetic magnitude no one can deny God’s healing power or glory. Igniting the Fire Magazine 9

What Is Marketing? Part 2 Roderick Carter houzeofphatproductions Marketing is all of the activities and processes of planning, communicating and executing a product, with a price, the promotion and the placement of an item to an end user. Your music is the product you are supplying to the end user – the music fan. Between you and the fan is a big gap and you need to find out how to bridge this gap. You may think that if you just get a record deal with some label, your prayers are answered and instantly a bridge is built across that gap. This is for the most part, not how things work today. As an aspiring indie or unsigned singer, songwriter, or a musician in a band you can not do just a few things to promote yourself and expect success in your music career. Offline and online music promotion and marketing exposure is an ongoing process in today’s DIY age. Music companies today are looking for artists that already have fan bases, sold CDs that have proven themselves ready to move up to a higher level. Presented in this report are more than 100 tips and ideas for you to think about and tweak as you need, to get noticed, gain fans, and get heard. You have to find a way to stand above the crowd, because talent alone is not enough.

So Let’s Get Started with Part 2!

Promo Tip #14 Professional photos mean you take yourself seriously. All photos in your press kit should be quality photos, not just your main bio picture. The money spent on a photographer that can capture your music “image” is money well spent. Promo Tip #15 Collect addresses and email addresses (email is free!) to keep your fans current on what you are up to. When building your lists, try to list their location – city, state and zip with a bit of personal input about that fan. This is a great way to create a more personal and targeted mailing list without bombarding people that are too far away to attend a show. Promo Tip #16 Practice and practice and practice. Longevity in the music business means learning new things, constantly creating, and always improving. Promo Tip #17 Zero in on your target. Know where they hang out, where they shop, what they do for fun, and hit them where they live – online and off. Your audience is a specific crowd of people, so don’t waste time being where they are not. Promo Tip #18 Play, play and play some more. Get gigs in one part of town on Friday and another part of town on Saturday. Do mini tours outside of your town. Promo Tip #19 Create your own support group of family, friends, and schoolmates – communicate well with them on your plans and goals to help spread the word on you, where you plan to go and how you plan on getting there. Delegate tasks to the appropriate people. Promo Tip #20 Online send out press releases and reviews of shows via all appropriate sites. Promo Tip #21 Get online air play. There are a lot of indie radio webcasts, join sites and do what you have to do to get on the play lists. Igniting the Fire Magazine 10

Promo Tip #22 Create an interesting banner to drop in your forum signatures or other online locations. Many message boards will let you leave a link and/or banner in your signature, but don’t like blatant advertising. Promo Tip #23 Brand your name across the world and be ever mindful of the image you wish to portray whenever out in public or online. When it’s in print, it’s permanent. Promo Tip #24 There is such a thing as overkill, in that it is better to describe your band/music as “we sound similar to the Beatles” rather than “we are the biggest thing since Led Zeppelin!” (or better than). So word your description accordingly. Promo Tip #25 The music business is in the business to make money. If your career is in music, know when to be businesslike. Promo Tip #26 Learn every area of the business you are in. Knowledge is power. Promo Tip #27 You must network. Meet people, get out there, shake hands, listen to them as well and let them know about your music. Build those relationships. Promo Tip #28 Be on friendly terms with other bands and artists in your area. Promo Tip #29 Create a “street team”, online and/or offline…they are core people that wish to help you further your marketing efforts. Give away free tickets, CDs or merchandise to your street team as incentive. Promo Tip #30 Announce every song, every CD, decent chart position, contest win, top sales on releases, announce anything and everything to stay in the public’s eye. If you can’t write a decent article up for the press release, get someone that can. Write a review of every gig and get feedback from local VIPs, fans, whomever matters and include the best quotes. Is it news worthy? Write

and promote it. Get the most mileage you can from your promotional tactics. Promo Tip #31 Never mail your CD without a purpose or a contact person’s name on it and expect miracles. Far better that the contact person knows to expect your CD, his or her name is spelled correctly, and you are mailing it to a company that actually works with your style of music. Promo Tip #32 Wear your band! Get a jacket, tshirts (etc) and add your band name or logo on it. Wear it everywhere and be a walking advertisement. If you have a niche fan base, think of a merchandise item that they need that of course has your name on it! Promo Tip #33 Create an interesting band logo. It can be a conversation starter or a potential contest question. Trapped in Arms of Death‌ Take a journey with Dr. Jacquelyn Hadnot into her past as she comes face to face with the grip of depression, suicide and death in Trapped in the Arms of Death: Overcoming the Grip of Suicide. The book is for anyone who has thought about suicide, knows someone has face the grip of suicide or anyone who has come through the grip of suicide. Available now at: amazon.com and jacquiehadnot.com Trapped in the arms of Death: Overcoming the Grip of Suicide is one of the most refreshing autobiographies that I have read thus far. Apostle Jacquie Hadnot opens the door to a sensitive part of her past that most would not speak of, and takes you on a journey that is emotional yet inspiring to anyone that has or is going through this obstacle. Through this book she reveals the power of God and how, not through her own will, but God's will she overcame the grip of suicide. She is a living testimony that what the devil meant for bad God turned it around for good. Come take the journey and experience the love and purpose God has for us all. Erica Reliford, Kansas City

The Work of an Evangelist What is an evangelist? What is it that an evangelist does? These are question that many may ask or converse about, but never truly receive an honest answer. In some churches, that do not recognize women who have been called by God to be more than “bench warmers,” they will give them the title of an evangelist just to pacify them. If they only knew who an evangelist is and what an evangelist does, I believe they would not use the term so loosely. Strong’s dictionary gives the definition of an evangelist as “a preacher of the gospel.” (pg.91) If you notice, there is no mention of an evangelist being gender specific. So to limit an evangelist to the “duty” of a woman, not only limits women, but most of all limits the ability of The Almighty God. As I do research and I find and recognize more and more what the meaning of a true evangelist is; an evangelist is not someone who is timid. They are not boastful, nor do they care about the materialistic things of this world. They do not look for self glorification for the things they do for the church or people in general. They are men and women of God who are bold before the throne of grace. They are “on the front lines of God’s army” (pg.65). They are happy to be a witness of the gospel. They are not closet Christians. Even though they have a home church, they still are called to travel to different places that God may send them to; performing miracles and healings in the name of Jesus Christ. An evangelist is not limited by the four walls of their church. They are on the corners and in the streets, in the projects and the suburbs, in the towns, cities, states and countries. They are wherever God sends them to so they can spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through the Word, miracles and healings. I believe that it is important to acknowledge that even though we are all suppose to do the work of evangelism, God still calls and chooses those He wants specifically to do the work of a true evangelist.

Erica Reliford

There are many examples of evangelist in the Word of God. Even though Jesus is more than an evangelist, He still displayed many characteristics of what a true evangelist is suppose to do. In Luke 4:18 it reads, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised…”Even through this time when they were rejecting Jesus at Nazareth he still did what he came to do. He preached deliverance. That is ministry in itself. Paul was also an evangelist. When we are first introduced to him, the Word of God said that his name was Saul. In Acts 9, we read that the Lord blinded Saul for three days and during that time he did not eat nor drink, but prayed. God told Ananias to go and lay hands on him to restore Saul’s eyesight. Now, look at this evangelism that God uses. Ananias tells God that Saul has done many evil things to the saints at Jerusalem and that he has authority to persecute any and all that call on the name of God. But verse 15 and 16 says,” ….Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel. For I will show him how great things he must suffer for my name’s sake.” Ananias being obedient went and laid hands on Saul as instructed by the Lord and his eyesight was not only restored, but he was also baptized. That was just the beginning of Paul’s ministry. God used every bit of Paul until he was done. How is this evangelism? Well, didn’t God use Ananias to perform a miracle and heal Paul’s eyesight? After Paul’s baptism he began being persecuted for preaching the Gospel……evangelism. My, my, my, how the table turn! His eyes were opened and he was able to spread the gospel to every man, woman, boy and girl. He had a boldness, not only when he preached the Word, but when he taught in the synagogues and witnessed in the streets. The Lord told him to preach to the captives. Not only did he preach to them he set many of them free. Not in a literal or physical sense of the word, but in the but in the figurative or spiritual sense of free. Igniting the Fire Magazine 18

The Word of God says in John 8:36, “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” He introduced many of them to Jesus Christ and once they received salvation they became free. He didn’t stop there; when they threw him in jail he still, with boldness and authority, proclaimed that Jesus Christ is Lord. Isn’t that an awesome example of what the enemy meant for bad, God turned it around for good? He still cast out demons in Jesus name. He performed so many miracles and healings with the authority that God had given him. With the authority that God placed in his hands, he baptized with the Power of the Holy Spirit. The Apostle Paul is one of our greatest examples of evangelism. From Romans to Hebrews Paul gives instruction on how to build and appoint leaders in the church. He trains them to be not only hearers of the Word, but doers as well. As, he gives them the instruction for which the structure for the foundation of the church should be built, he lets them know that it is inside of them. The people are the body of Christ that make up the physical church. So, if the spirit of Christ dwells in us then how much more would he dwell in a place where we are to teach, preach, learn, and witness about how good, great, glorious and merciful a God we serve. Paul allowed God to use him and that is why he was able to deliver the Word of God uncompromisingly to the followers of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is also important to do the work of an evangelist with humility. God uses whom he wants to perform miracles and healings. It is important to know that you did nothing. You were only the vessel that God used. Remember in Acts 9:15, he said that Paul was a” …chosen vessel.” It is important that when we are doing the work of an evangelist and we go through the many different layers and levels and depths of ministry so we become more and more transparent. I like the Webster’s Dictionary definition of the word:

Transparent Transmitting light rays so that objects on the other side can be seen clearly So fine in texture as to be seen through Easily understood detected; clear, obvious You have to decrease to a degree of transparency through this journey so that God can use you effectively to make sure that ALL glory and honor belongs to the Lord. Matthew 16:24 reads, “If any man come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.” There is no way possible that when you are laying hands on the sick, or casting demons back into the abyss of hell from which they came, is there any room for self to rise. The evangelist is a specialist in evangelism. They minister in a higher level of anointing and the only way that you can do that is by fasting, praying, reading the Word of God and becoming transparent daily. The word of God says, “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth,” 2 Timothy 2:15. How can you teach or direct in any setting if you do not study. You have to know for yourself who you are, whose you are and what God is telling you. Studying in itself is a key to the ministry of an evangelist.

FAME God bless, I have been pondering over this subject of Fame for sometime now. As I come across different artist it appears as if fame is their underlining motive. Their intentions may start off right but like a lot of us we could get sidetracked by the enemy. When I put on events, I get comments like "How many people are going to be there?", How many seats are in the building?" Does it really matter? or is your motive for ministry about winning souls or having people cheer you on while you are on stage? That brings up another question. Are you a gospel entertainer or minister? It would make sense to achieve fame if you are an entertainer because you need your name out there to generate album sales. That is your lively hood but my problem is Jesus becomes the product you are offering to people. That’s another blog.

Fame is what the devil used to tempt Jesus as well and he turned him down.(Luke 4:5-6). We must be careful and not get caught up because we can all fall to the scheme of the enemy. We must crucify this flesh daily and walk in the spirit so we do not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Matt. 7:14 Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Stay in the word of God and fame will not be a problem for you.

We should all be careful with this because it is easy to get caught up in the hype and forget who we are representing. Jesus Christ. When Jesus healed people he did not make a spectacle of it. Here are a couple of scriptures for reference Matt 8:4, 16:20, Mark 7:36. If Jesus saw the importance of diverting attention away from himself and toward God, we should follow the same example. There was a true story of a pastor who had a large ministry of 4000 members. He just up and moved away with his family to another state. His reasoning was the people were coming to church just for him and not for Jesus Christ. He felt that is what the Kingdom is supposed to be about Jesus Christ not a personality. So he moved to take the focus off of him. Now how many of us would do something like that with all the money coming in from 4000 people each week? That says a lot about an individual who is truly Kingdom Minded.

10 Ideas for Living a Life Without Credit or Debt Zen Habits Here are some ideas for living a credit-free life, if that appeals to you (if it doesn’t, skip this article and don’t start a debate in the comments!). Save an emergency fund. Many people use their credit cards as a sort of emergency fund — if there’s an unexpected expense, the card comes out to the rescue. Instead, use the money you aren’t paying towards debt to build up a healthy emergency fund, keeping you out of debt when something unexpected comes up. Living without credit can be risky, but having a strong emergency fund (aim for $1,000 initially, then build it up to 3-6 months or more of expenses). Save for goals. Once you’ve got the emergency fund adequately covered, you can start saving for other things. Set savings goals for yourself: do you want to travel, or buy a car, or save for college, or renovate your home, or buy a yacht? Decide on your highestpriority goals, and set a dollar figure. Now save towards those goals. Without debt, it should be fairly easy. Get a debit card. If you need to use a credit card in certain situations, such as buying something online, often you can use a debit or check card instead, if it has the name of a major credit company such as Visa or MasterCard. I went several years without a credit card, but using a MasterCard debit card, and had no problems at all. It actually worked every place you would need a credit card, but I wasn’t buying stuff on credit — it was debited straight from my checking account, meaning I would need to have the money first before purchasing anything.

Earn interest instead of paying it. The problem with debt or credit is that you waste money paying interest. It eats away at your finances. Instead, make your money work for you by investing it. With the magic of compound interest, your investments will grow over time, meaning that money you would have been paying toward interest is now earning interest instead and multiplying. That’s good math. Buy a car on cash. For those who have been buying vehicles with auto loans all their lives, it may seem impossible to buy a car on cash. But it’s very possible, and many people do it. My grandparents, for example, always buy their cars with cash (and always have, except for their first car 50 years ago). So instead of making loan payments, and paying double the price of the car or more over the term of the loan, they make savings deposits, and end up with the amount it costs to buy two cars in their bank account over the course of five years. This is something I’m trying to do myself — I’m going to use my current car as long as possible, save the amount that I’m now paying for my loan every month (it’s almost paid off now), and then buy my next car in cash. It’ll be a used car, but it’ll be all mine. Invest for retirement. This is just common sense, no matter what your credit or debt situation, but without debt payments, it makes sense to accelerate your retirement investments (as one of your savings goals). Then you can retire early, thanks to not being in debt. Travel without credit. It’s a common belief that you can’t rent a hotel room or a car without a credit card. This is false. It’s easy to rent a hotel room, for example, with a cash deposit. You just need to call around to find the right hotels. The same goes with car rentals Find a cash-only car rental company.

10 Ideas for Living a Life Without Credit or Debt (Continued) Rent without credit. While no credit checks are done for apartment or house rentals on Guam, where I live, in many places a credit check is standard practice. However, there are options you can use to rent without a credit card or a credit check, including a larger deposit. Buy a home without credit. Now, if buying a car on cash seemed impossible, surely buying a home on cash just cannot be done. But it can, and people have done it. I’m even considering doing it myself. First of all, in many cases, renting a home instead of buying (and investing the savings) is smarter financially. If you can invest the difference and let that grow over time, you can buy a home on cash. And at the same time, you won’t pay triple the value of the home (as most people do over the course of a home mortgage, due to interest). This item actually deserves a full post on its own, as it requires a longer explanation, but I don’t feel qualified to write it. Suffice it to say that it can be done, and has been done.

In the next issue 21 Strategies for Creating an Emergency Fund, and Why It’s Critical

Use Pay Pal online. I’m not a big fan of online shopping — well, actually I love to shop online, but I think it’s bad for your finances, only because it’s so easy to do. You end up buying stuff online that you might have resisted in the real world. But if you must buy something online, and don’t want to get a credit card (or a debit card), in many cases it can be done with Pay Pal — meaning that you have to have the money before you make the purchase. I’ve heard of people who don’t like Pay Pal, but I haven’t had a problem so far.

Mother Annie Mae Gipson’s Kitchen Table Born in Prairie, a small community in northeastern Mississippi, Annie Mae was the fifth child of Will and Lizzie Ewing. Annie Mae grew up a total tomboy. "I liked to go to the woods, ride horses and do anything the boys did," she recalls. Lizzie taught all six of her daughters to cook at an early age. Annie Mae started cooking at the age of 12. She cooked vegetables and made bread. During her teen years, she was active in church - singing in the choir and working in Sunday School. She was also active in school. She decided she wanted to be a nurse so she could care for the sick. Years later, at the age of 38, she entered the medical field, becoming an operating room technician. Known to many as "Mae" Annie Mae is known for her homemade dishes. Her chess pie and pineapple cake are big hits, as is her strawberry cake and dressing. As for Annie Mae, she enjoys "cooking period." "I like to cook a lot of good food and sit back and watch people enjoy eating it," she says. Included in this cookbook are some of the recipes that are frequent requests. According to Annie Mae, the secret to being a good cook is the ability to make a recipe your own. She says, “You have to be able to try a recipe and add your touch and make it work." When not in the kitchen, Annie Mae enjoys Bible word search puzzles, visiting on the telephone with family and friends and being a good neighbor. "It's all about helping others," she declares. "You have got to reach out and help someone who may be down to get up." Annie Mae encourages young people to reach out to others. "It's only lonely at the top if you don't take someone with you," she says. "I stood on the shoulders of many people that helped me get where I am today."

Is Holiness Old Fashioned? Apostle Jacquie Hadnot Allow me to start this article by saying that holiness is NOT a once and a while endeavor. Holiness IS a lifestyle. The bible says, “Be ye holy for I AM holy.” Society would have us to believe that it is not necessary to live in holiness and righteousness because it is OLD FASHIONED. I beg to differ with societies ideology because holiness is a mandate for God. The definition of holiness is: the state or quality of being holy. To be holy means: consecrated: dedicated or set apart saintly: devoted to the service of God, sacred: relating to, belonging to, or coming from a divine being or power awe-inspiring: having a character that evokes reverence We live in a microwave, Burger King society - do it your way, have it your way, get it any way you want it. In other words it doesn’t matter how you get it as long as you get it; this is a sad commentary for a country that was founded on Godly principles. The mentality of I must have it by any means necessary has engulfed every area of our society: schools, government, jobs and even the church. When we take on the mentality that we must have things, people, power or position; morality, righteousness and holiness are thrown right out the window. While at the same time throwing our friends, family, co-workers, or co-laborers under the proverbial “bus” just to get what we “think we want or need.” I thought God said He would supply ALL our needs? Unfortunately, since we live in a microwave society, waiting for God is often too slow for our fast paced lifestyle.

Our children have acquired the same spirit of “I need it now.” I attribute much of this attitude to television and the media. Children watch hours of television with the same subliminal message, “Success in life means having materials possessions and the more you have the more successful you are.” With that kind of message being passed on the impressionable minds, it is no wonder so many young people have turned to selling drugs or their bodies as a way of life. It is time to get back to the basics and reclaim our schools, our children, our families and even our churches from the hand and mouth of the devourer. We placed our society under a curse the moment we strayed from the precepts of God’s Word. The Bible tells us in II Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” We must face the fact that our land is sick: our country, our schools, our churches, our homes. Until we take a serious look at our position and re-position ourselves before the mighty hand of God - fasting, prayer and repentance, we will continue to live under a curse. The blessings of God will not flow through a society that have taken God out of it’s very fiber. We must begin to seek the face of God and TURN… Apostle Jacquie Hadnot
