Midsomer Norton Allotments
GET OUTDOORS AND ACTIVE WITH AN ALLOTMENT
Allotments are a great way to get outside in the fresh air – they offer a place to relax and improve your mental health.
The Midsomer Norton Allotment Association is run on behalf of the Town Council and is well established, with a host of friendly members of all ages. Each of the plots are managed by the allotment holders’ committee, which opens up opportunities for the Association to apply for funding from other bodies, for example, we are looking to become members of the Crop Drop food charity scheme, which is a great way to give back to the local community.
There are around 70 allotments of varying sizes and we’re lucky to have mains water supply to the site. We are affiliated to the National Allotment Society, which brings a number of benefits to members and have access to a local farmer to arrange manure drops and free access to coffee grounds, which can be used as fertiliser.
We currently have 100% occupancy with no waiting list, so if you live in Midsomer Norton and are interested in applying for a plot, please contact us or check us out on Facebook.
