Celebrating 10 Years

he old adage of “time flies when you’re having fun” has never been truer, we can hardly believe that Midsomer Norton Life is ten years old! The last ten years of bringing you Midsomer Norton Life has really crept up on us and what a jam packed ten years it has been! Our first ever issue was in Winter 2011 and as you can see from the front cover, pictured here with all our other covers, the high street has gone through a few changes since then. The first edition contained articles on the role of the new Town Council, the signing of the new lease with Welton Rovers on West Clewes Recreation Ground and the formation of a new Youth Team, the story behind South West in Bloom and information about the Council’s work with allotment holders. The first few issues were actually hand delivered by the under 11 team at Midsomer Norton Football Club, who were raising money for a new kit, these days, the magazine is delivered via Royal Mail and reaches every home in Midsomer Norton – with all the new development that has gone on over the past decade, hand delivering would be a mammoth task! But it means that we have more readers than ever and some of you might be picking up
