Riverside Walk Biodiversity Brass Rubbing Trail – A series of nine brass rubbing plates, showcasing the region’s rich biodiversity, is available along a scenic trail. these packs can be collected from the sidmouth tourism information centre. the trail itself is easily accessible from the Ham and its playground.

Rockpooling at Sidmouth Town Beach – You can find all sorts of creatures in sidmouth’s rockpools. you just need a net and a bucket, just make sure to return any creatures you find.

Sid Valley Ring – this fantastic 13-mile circular walk is fully signposted and offers a fascinating journey through Sidmouth’s rich history and landscapes. created by sidmouth town council and the sid Vale Association, the route was introduced during the 2019 sidmouth walking Festival and follows existing footpaths around the town. Along the way, you’ll pass through sidbury and salcombe regis, and see around 30 of the region’s key landmarks. be sure to download the sid Valley ring walk brochure to guide you on your adventure!

Sidmouth to Salcombe Hill

– this circular route is a must for nature lovers! starting in sidmouth’s town centre, you’ll wander through the byes, a beautiful riverside park, before heading up towards salcombe Hill. Keep an eye out for local wildlife along the way, especially on a sunny day!

The Byes & Sid Valley Walks

– For a relaxed and easy walk, follow the pathways through the byes. this hidden gem winds through open fields and parkland alongside the River Sid, offering a peaceful escape right from the heart of town.

Peak Hill & Mutter’s Moor

– up for more of a challenge? take on peak Hill and mutter’s moor, a 3-mile route that varies from easy to moderate. There are several different paths to choose from, each offering stunning views over the otter Valley. mutter’s moor has its own car park near the golf club, or you can hop on the sidmouth Hopper bus in summer for easy access. From the moor, you can enjoy a leisurely woodland walk or take on the climb to peak Hill for spectacular coastal views.
