As always, Westfield is prepared and the Christmas lights were fixed to the lampposts in the parish at the end of October to be ready for the big switch on event.

Over the years the Parish Council has extended the lights to illuminate Westfield along the Wells Road and Fosseway. And feedback from local people has always been encouraging, especially last year when the other traditional ways of marking Christmas in the community were temporarily stopped. This year we are back, Government guidance allowing, and the Christmas Lights Switch On will take place on Thursday 25th November at 6.30pm at the living Christmas Tree at the top of Elm Tree Avenue.

Christmas Lights Switch On

Father Christmas has promised to turn up and we hope that young and old will enjoy the Christmas songs and the illuminations as we usher in the Christmas season. There will be refreshments so why not come along and enjoy the festivities with a cup of mulled wine and a mince pie.
