ATTENTION:

When facing the product from aisle side, the left-hand side front spacers are reserved for electrical connection.

Use a mallet to ensure each level are securely stacked. Use extra cushioning such as fabric or leather pads to avoid scratches.

Stack top layers (5-6) at floor level, then attach them on top of lower layers all at once to reducing climbing.

Avoid moving or hauling once assembled. Lift the modules for adjusting the positions.

When assembly modules for a large facility, per-assemble grow light fixtures and wiring for each layer.

Then stack them into groups per picture 3-4 based on odd/even layer. This way it can help prevent disorientation of grow beds and also improves efficiency of assembly in bulk.

Use a ladder and proper protection when working on higher layers

Make sure all electrical connectors are securely fastened.

3- 4 Forming An Array

Single module Single row of modules Double rows of modules

When operating an individual product, there is an option to run electrical, pump power and water supply loop through spacers. See picture 3-6

Water flow is driven by gravity from top to bottom thus the position of the water inlets and outlets at each layer alternate between odd and even layers as shown in pictures. There is an option for connecting the power from the bottom as shown in diagram 3. In this situation user will have to reverse all Tee Cables.

Diagram 4 demonstrates the water return installation. Note the pipe must be properly sloped to avoid flow congestions.

4-

Care and Maintenance 4 1 1 Use Parameter Requirements Nutrient Flow Rate Requirements

Water gravity flows through the grow beds to the bottom outlet. The most suitable flow rate of the top water supply of a single set of modules will be 4 L/min. More than 5 L/min has the risk of overflow, less than 3 L/min cannot achieve the designed water depth. Ensuring the proper flow rate is very important.

2 Pump Requirments

The module is designed to have constant water circulation It is important to select water pumps that can maintain continuous operation without failure. Pump failure will result in flooding. It is always recommended to have an extra pump on-site in case of failure. It is also possible to use run water as ebb/flood cycles. Only use the amount of water that will fit in the reservoir as the water will overfill when the pump timer shuts off if the entire module is full.

3 Light Source Controls

The module LED light adopts the centralized control system in the planting room. The led lighting switch system can be set to realize automatic control, and the switch cycle can be set according to the user's requirements.

4 Environmental Requirements

When a large number modules are used in a facility, it is necessary to use environmental control systems. Due to the large number of LED lights and heat generation, it is generally necessary to configure additional temperature control and ventilation equipment to adjust the environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, and CO2 for meet plant needs.

41 2 Equipment

cleaning and maintenance

Equipment cleaning

Equipment cleaning includes two types, the module which will be cleaned in place, and the removable accessories including the grow raft, light barrier, retain dam, filter, flow regulator, etc., which must be removed for separate cleaning. To drain the module for cleaning, turn off the supply pump to stop water flow. Remove the retain dams from one layer at a time working from bottom to top 2-5 minutes between each grow bed until all of the water has drained.

ATTENTION:

Drain the modules before cleaning. When draining, remove the retaining dams from the bottom layer first, then wait for 1-2 minutes to remove the dams from the 2nd layer. Repeat from bottom to top until all the dams are removed. Pulling all retaining dams at once or reversing the order may result in water overflow.

Keep the filter in place until all of the grow beds have drained to prevent plant debris from entering the return line.

Use a soft cleaning tool such as a brush or a rag during the cleaning process. Removable parts can be cleaned by soaking or high-pressure water spray.

The equipment can be cleaned and disinfected with food grade chemical disinfectants Hot water below 85°C may also be used. Do not use baking equipment for high temperature and long time baking, which will cause deformation of plastic parts.

2

Equipment maintenance

This product needs to be used in the proper environment.

After the installation of the equipment, please connect the power supply according to the specification. If a single lamp is not lighting or is dim, turn the power off and replace with a new lamp. If the lamps still does not work check for a loose connection.

During the operation of the equipment, please check the module operation flow regularly. If there is overflow in the process, check if the flow is too high and check if the connecting pipe is loose. If the flow rate becomes lower, check the flow valve or the pipe is blocked or the pump is working properly.

The circulating water pump for the equipment needs to meet the demand according to the head flow requirement. If there is a 24-hour continuous water supply requirement, please ensure that the pump can meet the 24-hour continuous operation requirements. In the event of an abnormal power failure, please quickly enable the backup power supply to ensure that the pump operates to prevent loss of nutrient solution or water shortage in the plant due to power failure of the pump.
