class 4a course

Briarwood Golf Club

Start

Tee times will be used on Monday and Tuesday. Tournament officials will match up No. 1 golfers with other schools No. 1 golfers. Individual qualifiers will play with other individual qualifiers. No players from the same school should be assigned to the same group. Groups on Tuesday will be based upon Monday’s results and will be available one hour after all scores are turned in on Monday.

Team Scoring

Day 1 scores will be the four best scores recorded for each team. Day 2 is considered a new day and the four best scores on that day will be recorded. Total scores over two days determine team winners. If a team tie exists at the end of the second day, and team tiebreaker rules do not resolve the tie, the four members whose scores counted the last 18 holes will be the players involved in a playoff.

Awards

Medals will be awarded to the first four teams and top eight individuals. Ties for medalist will be broken through a suddendeath playoff. Other individual ties will be broken using a cardback system from that day’s score, in accordance with hole handicaps. Trophies are presented to the top three teams and the individual medalist. Banners will be presented to the state champion and runner-up teams.
