HAGGIS Among the delicious ingredients in Haggis are: sheep lung, liver and heart, all wrapped in a sheep’s stomach! jellied moose nose This is so easy to cook, just boil the nose until the hair comes off. Next a few spices are added and it’s boiled again. Once cooled, it is sliced and served chilled. Who nose, you might like this! 8

stuffed camel take one whole camel and stuff it with a whole sheep which has already been stuffed with 20 chickens stuffed with eggs and rice. Cook slowly over a barbecue until tender.
Cockerels Comb This lovely dish was once served as a garnish along side many traditional French foods. Cockerels comb is still used as a common ingredient in many Italian dishes and sauces.

LURKING ON THE EDGE OF TUPWOOD VILLAGE IS THE EIGHT ACRE WOOD. MANY BELIEVE THAT THESE WOODS ARE HAUNTED, FOLLOWING STORIES OF HUMANS AND LIFE-BOTS DISAPPEARING, NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN. THESE STORIES DIDN’T SCARE MINI-BOT THOUGH, SHE JUST LOVED TO EXPLORE AND THE EIGHT ACRE WOOD WAS THE PERFECT PLACE TO FIND MYSTERY AND EXCITEMENT.
MINI-BOT HAD BEEN IN THE WOODS ALL DAY LONG, COLLECTING STRANGE PLANTS AND INSECTS, SNOOPING AROUND IN HIDDEN CAVES AND SPLASHING IN THE STREAM. SHE WAS HAVING SO MUCH FUN THAT SHE LOST TRACK OF TIME AND DIDN’T NOTICE THAT THE SUN WAS DISAPPEARING FAST.
MINI-BOT WASN’T WORRIED, SHE HAD EXPLORED THESE WOODS A THOUSAND TIMES BEFORE, AND SHE WAS SURE THAT, EVEN IN THE DARK SHE COULD FIND HER WAY HOME, NO PROBLEM...
SHE WAS WRONG! AFTER WALKING FOR WHAT SEEMED LIKE HOURS, MINI-BOT REALISED THAT SHE WAS LOST. HER LITTLE LEGS WERE TIRING AS HER KEY WOUND DOWN AND SHE DECIDED THAT THE BEST THING SHE COULD DO WAS FIND A PLACE TO STAY AND WAIT UNTIL MORNING, BEFORE SHE WASTED ANY MORE ENERGY.
JUST AS SHE WAS ABOUT TO LOCK HER KEY, MINI-BOT HEARD A NOISE IN THE TREES, THEN ANOTHER BEHIND HER, THEN AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN. THE NOISES WERE COMING FROM ALL AROUND HER, THEN SUDDENLY THEY STOPPED! “WHO’S THERE?” SHE CALLED... NO ANSWER SHE LOOKED AROUND NERVOUSLY, A SHADOW MOVED IN THE TREES, SO SHE CALLED AGAIN. “HELLO, WHO IS THAT?” THE SHADOWS SEEMED TO MULTIPLY, MOVING ALL AROUND HER. SHE WAS SURROUNDED!

ALL OF A SUDDEN, A NET FELL FROM ABOVE AND SCOOPED MINI-BOT HIGH UP INTO THE TREES. THE SILENT SHADOWS ALL CLOSED IN, THERE WERE LOADS OF THEM. THEY GRABBED MINI-BOT AND THREW HER INTO A TINY TREE HOUSE, AND BOLTED THE DOOR SHUT! THERE WAS A SMALL WINDOW BUT MINI-BOT WAS TOO SHORT TO SEE OUT OF IT, BUT BEING A VERY PRACTICAL E-BOT, SHE TOOK OFF HER BACKPACK AND USED IT AS A STOOL. IF SHE STOOD ON HER HIGHEST TIPTOES SHE COULD JUST SEE OVER THE LEDGE OF THE WINDOW, AND WHAT SHE SAW FILLED HER WITH HORROR!
THE TREES WERE FILLED WITH HUNDREDS OF TINY RESISTOBOTS CALLED WISP-RS. MINI-BOT HAD HEARD TERRIBLE STORIES ABOUT WISP-RS AND HOW THEY WOULD CAPTURE E-BOTS AND DELIVER THEM TO DR CREEK SO THAT HE COULD EXPERIMENT ON THEM. SHE KNEW SHE HAD TO ESCAPE ...FAST! AFTER TRYING EVERY TOOL IN HER BACKPACK ON THE DOOR, IT WAS STILL LOCKED TIGHT! IT SEEMED SHE WOULD NEVER GET OUT AND DR CREEK WOULD BE ALONG SOON TO COLLECT HIS PRIZE.

WITH HER KEY BARELY TURNING, MINI-BOT LAY ON THE DUSTY FLOOR AND CRIED. A FEW HOURS HAD PAST AND MINI-BOT SAW SUNLIGHT STARTING TO CREEP THROUGH THE WINDOW. SHE WAS ALMOST COMPLETELY OUT OF ENERGY BUT SHE KNEW SHE COULDN’T GIVE UP. ONCE AGAIN, SHE CLIMBED ON HER BACKPACK TO LOOK OUT OF THE WINDOW.

TO HER DELIGHT, SHE COULD SEE VERTICOOL AMUSING HIMSELF BY KICKING A STONE AROUND LIKE A FOOTBALL IN THE WOODS BELOW. SHE TRIED TO CALL OUT TO HIM BUT HER ENERGY WAS SO LOW THAT NOTHING CAME OUT! HER VOICE BOX HAD STOPPED WORKING. “THIS IS USELESS” SHE THOUGHT, BUT THEN SHE HAD A BRAIN WAVE! WITH HER LAST DROP OF POWER, MINI-BOT ANGLED HER MAGNIFYING GLASS HAND TO REFLECT THE SUN STRAIGHT INTO VERTICOOLS FACE.
“HEY, WHO’S DOING THAT?” SHOUTED VERTICOOL ANGRILY, HE LOOKED UP TO WHERE THE LIGHT WAS COMING FROM AND SPOTTED THE WEARY MINI-BOT HIGH IN THE TREES. WITHOUT A SECONDS HESITATION, VERTICOOL CLAMBERED UP THE TREE, LEAPING FROM BRANCH TO BRANCH UNTIL HE REACHED THE TINY TREE HOUSE. ONCE THERE HE CHARGED AT THE DOOR, SMASHING IT TO PIECES. VERTICOOL CARRIED MINIBOT DOWN FROM THE TREE HOUSE AND ALL THE WAY BACK HOME, WHERE HER DELIGHTED HUMAN, WHO HAD BEEN VERY WORRIED ABOUT HER, GAVE HER A LOVELY OIL BATH AND WOUND HER KEY BACK UP. FROM THAT DAY ON, MINI-BOT NEVER WENT INTO THE EIGHT ACRE WOOD ON HER OWN, ESPECIALLY AFTER DARK!

RUSTY: Hmmm, if you say so. I hear you are crazy about football... LUNI: I love football and play for my local team, Tupwood LBFC. RUSTY: Are you any good? LUNI: We are EPIC! Later the same day, ROBOB returned to find the source of the power, the amazing Buzz Ball. Little did he know that he had been spotted by Honey, a sneaky little hornet like Resistorbot, who flew as fast as she could to tell her tale to the evil Miss Merize. Now read on...

i had enjoyed a wonderful childhood growing up beside his human companion Max and the rest of the family: ROBOB, his human Lucas, Pearl and her companion Millie.
Usually, Si got over his sulks and was happy to let ROBOB take the lead, but just recently something had happened that had made him feel quite jealous and resentful.
The twin E-Bots had played together, had adventures together and sometimes they had fought, but they always made up and became friends again.
ROBOB was the big hero at school, having recently defeated General Choob, the school bully, and although Si had cheered along with the rest of the E-Bots, he had felt such a strong feeling of jealousy. Why was it always ROBOB that got all the attention? And now he was just showing off all the time like he was something special. Plus, he was definitely hiding something. He kept going off on his own, and if Si asked him what he was up to he just changed the subject!
As time passed by, they were taking on all the good and bad characteristics of their human counterparts. ROBOB was a thinking E-Bot, he never did anything without a lot of careful deliberation. Much like Lucas, he was also very kind and always tried to solve everybody’s problems. He was a natural leader, and the rest of the family usually looked towards him to decide what they would be doing that day. Si, on the other hand, was much more impulsive. He never seemed to be satisfied and was quite often moody and argumentative. Sometimes, he felt quite cross that it was ROBOB who always made the decisions. ‘It’s not like he’s older than me’ he thought. ‘I have good ideas too, it’s just that no one listens to me’.
It was driving Si mad. He made up his mind to get to the bottom of it. He decided to follow ROBOB the next time he went off on his own and find out what it was he was so desperate to keep from his twin brother. Si didn’t have long to wait as, just the next evening, he heard ROBOB creeping out of the bedroom he shared with Lucas. He quietly followed after him as he left the house and
seemed to be heading towards the hill that led to the factory. He was careful to keep well behind ROBOB but, even so, he was nearly spotted a couple of times and once he had to dive behind a big bush as ROBOB suddenly turned around. After a while, ROBOB turned off the road. ‘Where on earth can he be going?’ Si thought to himself. ‘That route only takes you to the top of the hill, why would ROBOB want to go there in the middle of the night?’
Si puffed and panted as he tried to keep up with ROBOB, who had seemed to speed up as he neared the top of the hill. Once there, he stopped. Si hid himself behind a tree and watched… ROBOB seemed to be checking out the area around the old deserted LIFE-BOT Industries factory. Si had never seen the building this close up before, and it was really eerie and creepy. Si shivered. ‘Surely there could be nothing here of any use to anybody’ he thought.
Just then ROBOB started to walk towards the factory until he was just outside the enormous doors. He stopped and started kicking up the earth, then he knelt down and started to dig.
area. Si was amazed but worried too. If ROBOB hadn’t been concentrating so hard on the box, he would have clearly seen Si standing there watching him.
After about 5 minutes of digging, he had obviously found what he was looking for. Si moved closer so he could get a better look.
ROBOB lifted something out of the box that, from where Si stood, looked like a shining ball of light. ROBOB seemed to be examining it, turning it around in his hands, looking at it from every angle. After a little while, he seemed to have seen enough. He put the “ball” back into the box, sealed the lid and placed it back into the hole in the ground and began covering it with earth until it was completely hidden.
ROBOB was lifting what looked like a plain cardboard box out of the hole in the ground. Very gently, he placed it on the floor about a foot away from him and just stared at it for a couple of minutes, as if he was a bit nervous of it. Then, ROBOB took a deep breath and started to pull open the lid of the box. A great beam of light shone out of the box and up into the sky, illuminating the whole
Si watched from his hiding place as ROBOB made his way back up the hill and headed back home. As soon as ROBOB was out of sight, he got up and made his way down to the spot that ROBOB had just left.
Sure enough, there was the little mound of earth that gave away the hiding place of the box. Si wasted no time; he got down on his knees and started digging. It didn’t take long before he spotted the mysterious box. He dragged it out quickly and, in his excitement, he ripped a little bit of the lid. Immediately he was blinded by a bright light that shot out of the tiny hole he had made in the box. It took Si completely by surprise. In fact, it shocked him so much that he fell backwards and landed really awkwardly. He heard a loud crack and realised he must have damaged himself in some way. Slowly, Si got to his feet and started to check himself over.
“What on earth are you doing here Si?” bellowed ROBOB, who had run back to the factory when he had seen the shaft of light. “How dare you touch that!” ROBOB shouted. He was shocked at how angry he felt and, despite the fact that he could see Si was struggling, he pushed him down again, hard! “Ouch!” cried Si. “Ok ok don’t hit me again. I was just trying to find out what you were up to. Why didn’t you tell me about this? It’s amazing!” “It’s nothing to do with you. I can’t believe you followed me, this is none of your business Si, stay out of it”. ROBOB was shaking with anger. He tried to control himself, but he couldn’t seem to stop having really dark feelings towards Si. The angrier ROBOB got the more resentment Si began to feel towards him. “Why shouldn’t I see what you’re up to, we’re brothers, but you never tell me anything. You just don’t want to share the glory, do you ROBOB? You love being the big hero”. “You don’t know what you’re talking about Si, there is something dangerous here. I didn’t tell you because I’m not sure myself yet what I’ve found, and it scares me”. ROBOB tried to calm the situation, but it was obvious Si was too angry to listen to reason. “Yeah right, it was just one more thing you had that no one else did. You always have to be better than everyone else”. ROBOB lost control and lunged at Si who fell over backwards. They rolled around for a bit, both trying to get the upper hand, but it was obvious ROBOB had the extra strength, it was his anger driving him on. When he finally had Si pinned down under him, ROBOB seemed to come back to his senses and he noticed movement coming from the cardboard box. The ball had risen out of the box and was buzzing and crackling with power. Lightening flashes were flying out of it in all directions. It was an amazing sight, and both ROBOB and Si just watched it, mesmerized.
As the brothers calmed down, the ball started to dim and subside until it sank back into its box. ‘It seems to feed on our anger’ thought ROBOB. ‘This is more dangerous than I realised’. As he turned to talk to Si about what had happened, he noticed that Si was having trouble getting to his feet. “Are you ok Si?” he asked anxiously. “I’m so sorry, I don’t know what got into me”. ROBOB tried to help him sit up and then realised what the problem was. “Oh no Si, it’s your key. It seems to have snapped off”.
This was a disaster for an E-Bot as they relied on their keys for all their power. Without it, Si would gradually wind down until he became completely immobile. Si got to his feet carefully and turned to ROBOB. “What are you going to do to make this right ROBOB?” he shouted. “It’s all your fault, you didn’t have to attack me. If you had just talked to me about all this, I wouldn’t have had to follow you at all and none of this would have happened”. ROBOB felt so ashamed. Si was right, he had behaved badly. He had let his anger towards Si control him, and now his brother was in big trouble.
“I will fix this I promise” he said. “But you must see I wasn’t trying to keep secrets from you Si, it’s just that this thing is dangerous, didn’t you see how it reacted to us fighting? The angrier we got the more powerful it was. Don’t you see, if this got into the wrong hands it could mean disaster? We need to bury it again until I can take it to Professor Munch to check out”. “Whatever” said Si grumpily. “Let’s get on with it. But you had better find a way to fix my key or you will be in big trouble”. They quickly hid the box back in the hole and covered it with earth again. The two little E-Bots then made their way back home.
TWO DAYS LATER... Si slowly walked around the playground, he was feeling weaker and weaker. Little by little his key was winding down, and he knew he didn’t have much time left before he stopped completely.

ONE DAY IN TUPWOOD HOSPITAL, MR AND MRS BLING WERE GETTING READY TO TAKE THEIR NEW BABY HOME. THEY WERE ALSO GOING TO TAKE HOME THEIR BABY LIFE-BOT OR DIDI-BOT. HIS NAME WAS FLING. BUT LITTLE DID THEY KNOW THAT THERE WAS A VERY EVIL LIFE-BOT WHO JUST HATED DIDIBOTS, AND HER NAME WAS MISS MERIZE! “WHY DO PEOPLE MAKE SUCH A FUSS OVER THESE BABY ROBOTS? I JUST DON’T UNDERSTAND IT” SHE SAID TO HER EVIL ASSISTANT, ROLAND. MR AND MRS BLING DIDN’T KNOW THAT MISS MERIZE HAD AN EVIL PLAN TO STEAL BABY FLING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, SO THAT SHE COULD DESTROY HIM. BUT, WHAT MISS MERIZE DIDN’T KNOW WAS THAT ROBOB HAD HEARD ABOUT HER EVIL PLAN AND HAD TOLD MR AND MRS BLING TO KEEP BABY FLING WITH THEM ALL NIGHT. WHEN NIGHT FELL, FLINGS MUM AND DAD KEPT FLING IN THE COT NEXT TO THEM TO KEEP HIM SAFE AND SOUND. BUT, AS SOON AS THEY FELL ASLEEP, NAUGHTY LITTLE FLING CRAWLED OUT OF HIS COT AND CREPT TOWARDS THE WINDOW SO HE COULD LOOK AT THE STARS! SOMEHOW, MISS MERIZE MANAGED TO GET INTO THE ROOM, SHE REACHED DOWN INTO THE COT TO LIFT THE TINY BOT OUT, BUT THE COT WAS EMPTY! SHE THEN SPOTTED HIM BY THE WINDOW AND TRIED TO GRAB HIM. BUT, LITTLE DID SHE KNOW, FLING HAD FOUND HIS SPECIAL STRENGTH, HE WAS A FRISBEE! HE STARTED TO SPIN AROUND AND THEN LET HIMSELF GO STRAIGHT INTO MISS MERIZE’S FACE, MAKING HER FALL OVER. THIS WOKE UP MR AND MRS BLING WHO IMMEDIATELY CHASED MISS MERIZE OUT OF THE HOUSE. AFTER THAT, THEY MADE SURE FLING STAYED WHERE HE SHOULD, AND WHEN HE GREW OLDER, FLING BEGAN TO FIGHT THE RESISTORBOTS!

The Adventures of ROBOB trading card game has been designed to work for all ages and abilities. There are many different ways to play, from simple ‘Trumps’ and ‘Who’s who?’ games, to a more strategic battle where you may need to sacrifice certain robots for the good of your team.

Lay your Battle Board on a flat surface. Split the cards into two piles, one for the E-Bots and one for the Resistorbots. Now choose your army and shuffle the cards. Place your army face down and, without looking, take the top 15 cards from that pile. These are the cards you will battle with. You can now look at your cards but don’t show your opponent. Now lay the 7 ‘Action Cards’ face down in the spaces in the centre of the battle board. Player one should now select one of the ‘Action Cards’ and turn it over for all to see. Both players should now look through their cards and select three characters that have a high score for that action. Place these cards, face down on the 3 play areas on your side of the board. Now battle the 3 cards, 1 at a time, based on the action that has been chosen. The higher number wins. The winner of each battle captures their opponents card and places it in jail until the end of the game.

every month, rusty fires questions at your favourite robots about... erm... your other favourite robots! this month, BRICK spills the beans.
Most moody? Oh there’s a couple of LifeBots I can think of, Nobody being one and I must say that I’ve seen Pearl have the odd tantrum!
Smartest? Well not me (LOL). I’d have to say Oscar. Boy, there is nothing that fish doesn’t know!
Laziest? You won’t believe me when I say this, as he is so fast, but it’s Aqud. He ’s a real couch potato!
Loves themselves? Miss Merize. Every time I see that nasty woman she has a mirror in her hand. She thinks she could date any Life-Bot she wants! Not me I’m afraid.
Smelliest? Pickle without a doubt. Put it this way, you know when he’s in the room, he just can’t hold them in. Urrrrrgh!
Best dancer? Well, obviously Brent Boogie. But, apart from him, it has to be Dr Creek. He may be funny looking but boy can he bust some moves! (I think he’s secretly been going to street dancing lessons).
Most annoying? I would have to say Honey. She’s soooo nosey, always flying around trying to get all the gossip or secrets. Just buzz off Honey!
Most daring?
It has to be Professor Munch. You should have seen him at Thorpe Park the other week, he’s CRAZY!
