Frank Kowalkowski is President of Knowledge Consultants Inc., a professional services firm founded in 1984 with practice areas in knowledge management, business intelligence and performance, business and systems architectures, supply chain management, and application design and development. He has over 30 years of management consulting and industry experience in manufacturing, distribution, insurance and financial services. Frank has been involved with projects that include e-commerce application integration, ERP and supply chain management, knowledge management, artificial intelligence, business performance measurement, data warehousing and process improvement.

Beyond first class teaching and scholarship, the school’s faculty offers practical experience in the issues and challenges confronting business and government. Its research centres link faculty and students with US and international business and government organisations. Recent distance learning initiatives have expanded the school’s global reach.

Previously he was Director of Consulting for the Spectrum Group. Frank was responsible for reengineering consulting, process improvement and operational systems consulting. His engagements included senior management presentations, audits, assessments, organisational studies, and methodology development and implementation. He was also a Manager of Consulting with Kearney Management Consultants with broad-based experience as project manager on productivity improvement projects.

Course Requirements And Certificates

He is the author of Enterprise Analysis, published by Prentice-Hall, and over 70 papers.

Delegates must meet two criteria to be eligible for an IIRME/GW Certificate of Completion for a course: 1. Satisfactory attendance – delegates must attend all sessions of the course. Delegates who miss more than 2 hours of the course sessions will not be eligible to sit the course assessment. 2. Successful completion of the course assessment. Delegates who do not meet these criteria will receive an IIRME Certificate of Attendance. If delegates have not attended all sessions, the Certificate will clearly state the number of hours attended.

Course Overview Predictive analytics is a method of projecting past performance and other data into the future to assess various business alternatives. Today predictive analytics includes more, it includes the methods that relate variables to a particular success initiative such as understanding what data drives percentages of sales, what factors predict success or failure of a credit risk and to what degree can a business meet thieir goals by looking at impact factors. Finding out the variables that are important to a result requires techniques of data analysis problem solving. Analysing and understanding enterprise past performance is key to predicting the prospects of various business alternatives. Acquisition, analysis, aggregation, presentation and interpretation of data are crucial to the effective predictive analytics. Whether the purpose is operational performance, enterprise performance, financial analysis, competitive or market analysis, strategic direction setting or data for outside decision making of partners and customers, the delivery of that data impacts the success of the a prediction. Understanding the basis and impact of decisions is crucial to improving enterprise performance.

Methods needed to make these ideas practical are discussed in hands on exercises.
