Shiraaz is a MBA and also holds a Bachelor of Pharmacy Degree, Bachelor of Science and Prince 2 Project Management. Following a Bachelor, post graduate and Masters degrees in Computer Science, her more recent doctorate was in Health Services Management focusing its dissertation on the patient journey, and the development of a web-based information model for patients with the chronic disease Cystic Fibrosis. Jean has been the CIO and Director of ICT for the South Eastern Sydney & Illawarra Area Health Service (now known as Local Health Districts) for more than 6 years, managing the information services of 20 hospitals, and some 24,000 employees. She is an accredited Australian College of Health Services surveyor.
