What everyone agrees to is that it is critical for any business to get a handle on project management for prosperity. This seminar is designed to present different management philosophies and approaches, then concentrate on the predominant standard globally created by the Project Management Institute (PMI). By attending this seminar you will be able to: • Understand the evolution of project management as a science and discipline • Get exposed to the different approaches of project management • Become familiar with the leading organisations and standards of project management • Build a mental image of the overall Project Management Body Of Knowledge - PMBOK® approach to project management, including PM phases and process groups • Learn the process of project initiation and scope planning Seminar B

The Key To Project Success: Project Planning 15 August 2011 • Park Rotana, Abu Dhabi, UAE Seminar Timings: 9:00 – 13:00 with registration at 8:30.

You are entitled to 4 PMI PDUs Planning is the highest single factor that affects project success or failure. Next to communication skills, this is where the knowledge, skills and experience of project managers are needed the most. Planning is all about setting the desired values and designing the map for creating them with available resources and constraints. The PMBOK® stipulates that in order for projects to have a high probability of success, nine (9) distinct areas must be planned. During seminar “A”, delegates are introduced to Initiation and Scope Planning. During this seminar, delegates will become familiar with five (5) more planning (knowledge) areas: • Time planning – how to create schedules that are realistic • Cost planning – how much will it cost, and when would the costs be incurred • Procurement planning – deciding on what will be purchased, how, when and from whom • Communications planning – who needs to know what, when and how. Managing stakeholders expectations • HR planning – what resources will be needed? How to get them, retain and motivate them and when to release Seminar C

Project Quality Management 16 August 2011 • Park Rotana, Abu Dhabi, UAE Seminar Timings: 9:00 – 13:00 with registration at 8:30.

You are entitled to 4 PMI PDUs Quality is a long term on-going principle. Projects are time limited. How do you achieve the required quality for projects? How do you control quality costs and what is the optimum quality target? This seminar will discuss the overall quality management cycle and how to apply quality principles to projects. By attending this seminar you will understand: • Quality management – components of an integrated quality management system and the interaction between them • Quality planning – setting the right metrics • Quality assurance – creating the processes that should lead to the desired quality metrics being achieved • Quality control – were the metrics achieved? How to reduce targets not met?
