Dear ministry partner, I want to share a story with you to let you know how your support of It Is Written is resulting in lives being changed in miraculous ways. Your commitment to seeing people come to faith in Jesus is resulting not only in souls but also in soul-winners being won! Aadesh came to the United States with his family several years ago. Raised a Hindu, Aadesh never imagined that he would ever be a Christian. Aadesh and his family had spent years living in a refugee camp and learned about the Christian religion. When they came to the United States, the opportunity arose for Aadesh to attend a Christian high school. Before long, he was packing for academy! At academy, Aadesh was exposed to a new kind of Christianity—he learned about Bible study and that he could talk to God as a friend. He loved his new school. But things were difficult at home, and he left school to help care for his younger sister. The following year, Aadesh’s father died and in his grief, he started to wander further away from the relationship with God he had developed at school.
He wanted to come forward but felt as though his feet were stuck to the floor. In early 2018, some friends invited him to attend the It Is Written Revelation Today series I held in Kansas City. He agreed to go to a meeting, but by the second night, “I was there for myself,” Aadesh remembers. “I wanted to get baptized right then. Pastor Bradshaw made several appeals during the series, and each time, I knew I needed to go forward.” Peer pressure, his family, and community prejudice kept him in his seat, but his heart was yearning for more from God. He told me that on several occasions he wanted to come forward but felt as though his feet were stuck to the floor. He never came forward.
