Tensegrity Architectural Design 101 Ela Çil - Tonguç Akış
Tensegrity, tensional integrity or floating compression, is a structural principle based on the use of isolated components in compression inside a net of continuous tension, in such a way that the compressed members which are studs, do not touch each other and the prestressed tensioned members, cables, delineate the system spatially.

Designing a Structure Architectural Design 101
The main purpose is designing a structure with simple geometries and creating the strongest resistance to carry a current weight. To increase the stability of structure, it is devided into triangels which creates the best stability. 4 chair was carried with this design.

Tensile Structure in Campus Architectural Design 102
10
There is only one rope and 3 studs. The main idea is, rope gives the entire structure to be stable. It goes all around the structure without without touching each other and ends where it started. It is designed for creating shaded area on amphi teather for students which is in front of the architectural faculty.

For the project it was expected to make a requlation according to site decisions in urban scale and design social center to answer the public needs and interests.Project area is in Selรงuk which is mostly known with Ephesus. It has a significant position also for history. According to the building form, while designing the shell, it is intended to be used both top and down of the space. Green roof is like a mound in some points and accessible, enables the users to experiance greenary inside the city. Moreover, attract the attention of the people and to let the light through the shell, cracks are opened. From outside, it gives the sense of a mass of closed, but on the contrary, the inside is created by changing the angle and give the sense of dynamism with suprising spaces.

The idea is moving up with the topography and starting in one point, then spreading according to the site form. The building enables the users to have a visual connection with each other in every point. It consist of guest room, restaurant, design and education part and production process. The building serves like making the process more visual.

At ground floor, production and showroom is located. They are seperated from each other. Showroom welcomes the visitors at the entrance foyer. Production spaces are located through a corridor that all the rooms can be opened it. At first floor, production process continues but also, visitors can see and participate the design process. Design studios are located according the the view and it opens a common shared terrace. At second floor, restaurant and guest house is located. It also allow people to see ĂśdemiĹ&#x; view.

Groundscraper in Bayrakl覺 / 襤zmir Architectural Design 301

In living environment, human being encounters with boundaries, coercion or restrictions. They are always tried to be controlled by law or rules. They don’t have a place to protect their rights, they have no permission to say something about their own life. Rights are defined in space and they define the space. Unlike, living in a numerical coercion in buildings like 2+1, 3+1; creating a free space which can be defined by the users. Communication between people increasingly began breaking away and virtually disappeared.People are sentenced to stereotype cells which is called “house”,creating limitation and uniformity on people. It is tried to answer that questions: “Can architecture offer freedom in space?” How can we know that human being wants to live as we offer ? It is a building which rejects the social habits. The main motto is Noel Amoud’s, “I am the space where I am” .Except the physical needs in the space, emotions that make up the human ego must find a life in space together. The relationship between people and space activities bring identity to the place.

Based on contrasts, with adopting the human feelings, liberation is created on places. Around the area in Bayrakl覺, limits are outstanding.Walls, wire nettings, train line which prevent the passing, ways, lack of greenary form the area. Instead of walls as a boundary, usable walls are offered like graffiti walls outside or folding-sliding walls which can make the dwelling bigger or smaller. The watercourse which come from the 襤zmir sea, creates another limit. To prevent this making the waterside accessible and bringing the water inside the area, also giving touching the water sense with lots of activities to the users.

In given area there is not enough greenary. So that, based on the shape of the tree the roof is created. İt is an abstraction of the connections of the trees shapes. The idea of the trees between buildings is wanted to be created. At first, the body of the tree is analyzed and abstracted into triangles. And then according to leaves of the trees, the roof shape is designed.

Winehouse in Wiesbaden, Germany Interior Design
The idea is using the daily materials as a furniture. The wood, its own texture give a hot athmosphere to inside. With using light, we can give emphasis to te furnitures. In that way we can reduce the total price and make a good look on the reused items.

For creating a Bar module we can put the wine create together and by opening some parts and closing some, parts to give a different looking. We can use the natural materials like leaves to give a good looking.
Ground Floor Plan
Crates of wines also can be used fas a shelf. If you can put the wines inside these shelves and put the grape leaves, you can easily create a natural athmosphere.

For seperating the design part with the other rooms we can put the long wood pieces togerher and create a folding door.In that way people can see other part of the place in a different aspect

It is easy to design a lamp with natural materials for instance using the wood sticks.

It is only one part of the space. We can easily see the stripe of the wood and how it is changing with the level differences. Also the color of the wood also changing. In that way the areas are seperated from each other easily. Moreover, with ceiling plan, using wood pieces puting them together by leaving some gaps between them, by using light we can create e different play of light. Because the stripes of the ceiling is changing according to sun movement and also the light coordinations. Playing with stripes it is created a different play of light and using natural materials give the space more hot and beautiful athmosphere.

The site boundaries are defined regarding thresholds. This thresholds are canal, İstikbal Street, topography, current vehicular roads and highway. To serve to public realm, part of the İstikbal Street is pedestrianized. Inside of the area there is a tramway facility which serves as a ring. The way which is pedestrianized is moved to another alternative road which is parallel to İstikbal Street. As another infrastructure is proposed which is irrigation system, is done for the hobby gardengardens, mandarin gardens and agricultural areas.

Urla ‘s mostly known with its fishing activity, fish restaurants, the island which is one of the most important port of the history, summer venues and Klazomenai. People who experienced these places have an idea or memory in their mind.”We are not simply observers of the city but are ourselves part of what we see.”(Kevin Lynch, The Structure of Urban Perception) Every people has their own indicators which has a connections with memory and indexical activiy. In the site, there is a lack of connections between user’s emotions, cultural values and existing surroundings. It is suggested to creat a semiotic reading in a continuous promenade belongs to personal interest.
The İskele District in Urla possesses one of the most prominent underwater archeology sites in Turkey. Moreover, Klazomenai during the classical period with its history reaching back to the neolithic period, Limantepe, among port cities, has the longest history of continuous inhabitation. The site is becoming more visible and the excavations is increasing. The center’s administrators would like the artifacts found during the excavations to be shared with general public and also experiencing the daily life of the ancient time and their trading abilities should be shared with people. According to these, the center demands an architectural program with respect to the needs of researchers, general public and participants. It should incorporates developments and issues. In the city the places which are irrelevant with each other can be connected and serve as an indicator with using the objects, buildings, screens inside the city. In one’s personal path, one can encounter with an object, sculpture or building with carrys an indicator from the site, from the history. Using this add-on structers, serves as a meeting point, temporary exhibition, educational activities or only a reminder object.
