The sec ond, Retuning the Warp , appro ach e d po st-indu str ial P re sto ngrange as l acking age nda, i t s r ui n o us remai n s prec ipitating a developm ent to ex h ibit its h e r itage w h il e re - e ngaging its m ach ine, bo dy and so c ial m anne r ism s. Revers i n g t h e o n s i te c ontam ination, a walkway weaves th ro u gh a sto r y o f y ar n, f ro m its dye ing to inte gratio n into an o ngo ing c o l l abo rative text i l e. C o nvers ely, in the m ews, users are led by an ar m atu re th at h o l ds to ge th e r a disse c te d h o m e and its wo rkaday ex h ibits, re -al l o c at i n g t h e p ower of the sac red to the nec essary. The design responds to dam aging prac tic e s o f du m ping spo il in l o c al h arbo u rs and l ago o ns, de vel o ping a ne w ne t wo rk o f p i p el i n es to use the pre -m ordanted seawater f o r dye ing and a c e ntral f il tratio n pl ant and drains to pro c e ss dye wate r and iro n- co n t ami n a ted r un o f f. Using loc al plant- dyes, this m ode ratel y f il trate d m ar ine o u tf al l is saf e f o r l o c al w il dl if e.
