Studio Thomas James presents “White Lotus”, the interpretation for the entry, gallery, and foyer at Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach 2023. The architectural style of the home immediately reminded us of Italy and our recent summer trip to its various cities across the country, where we came across interiors mixed with items from vastly different stylistic movements between ancient to contemporary times.

“Palm Beach Modern”
In our aptly titled “Palm Beach Story” family room, we celebrate iconic Palm Beach colors and materials while presenting them in new applications, imbued with a contemporary spirit.
A Pierre Frey fabric serves as the room’s foundation and key palette inspiration. We then built from there with a custom light blue Sacco carpet and a Phillip Jeffries grass cloth wallcovering that together bring the outdoors in and celebrate Florida’s signature indoor/outdoor lifestyle.
LUCY DOSWELL INTERIORS “The Study”
I imagined our study to serve as both a quiet, cozy place to work and read or an intimate and lively room to host guests for cocktails. I did my own take on traditional, layered, English-style decorating with an updated Floridian spin on it.

“Garden Bedroom”
Gardening is a source of creativity and inspiration that is echoed in so much of my work as a designer. Recently, I’ve seen and heard clients, people on Instagram, and friends expressing their desire for a sophisticated bedroom that is both tranquil and unexpected. These conversations, along with my passion for gardening and the lush Palm Beach surroundings, prompted the design for this elegant, functional, and relaxed primary bedroom. I utilized the large space by diving the room into three sections: a comfortable seating area, a cozy bed, and a place to work. The space merges the unexpected whimsy and color of nature with the practical elements sought after by our clients. These features create a multipurpose primary bedroom that is both comfortable and joyful.

“The Silent Coast”
The design concept for "The Silent Coast," the bedroom and bathroom designed by New York and Miamibased interior architect Megan Grehl, is one of tranquility and coastal serenity. The bedroom is the embodiment of Grehl’s architectural vision for the space, bringing the ocean and coastal feel to life. Since the launch at Miami Art Week 2022, this is the first time pieces from ARCA’s NUDO Collection in collaboration with Kelly Wearstler.
Studio is shown publicly in a residential interior. With ARCA’s access to the largest marble quarries around the world, these pieces are made from individual blocks of natural stone, 3D-rendered and hand carved by master craftsmen into distinctly softened forms that embrace the beauty and fortitude of material. The looped structures emulate the distinct softness inherent in yarn loops.

“The Cocoa Lounge”
Inspired by the late 70s – early 80s disco era of unabashed decadence, Danielle Rollins designed this intimate gathering space, “The Cocoa Lounge”, with sinfully comfortable furniture as a place to gather with friends for cocktails or to take a post-swim nap.
The room is an homage to the purist Angelo Donghia, when Halston’s revolutionary silk dresses, Donna Summer’s music, and YSL’s cult parfum Opium filled the air exuding fame, money, and glamour. Donghia defined 80’s classicism. His mantra, “You

"The Great Room"
The inspiration for our room lies in the spirit of the Great Rooms of wonderful houses on the French Riviera. We are designing a room that is timeless and layered. It has grand antiques anchoring the end walls and a hand-painted, patinated wall finish. The curtains and fabrics are linens and cottons and breezy. There is comfortable upholstery, pops of wicker and rattan and a hand painted striped coir rug. Palms and orchids bring life to this grand but ever so comfortable room.
Billy Ceglia Designs
'Le Palmier Blanc'
From Brown Jordan’s iconic ‘Calcutta’ outdoor furniture to the custom ‘patchwork trellis’ screen from Fuller Architectural Panels, the space highlights the iconography of Palm Beach style in a not-so-in-your-face way” says Ceglia.
Envisioned as a private refuge or elegant gathering space, Ceglia uses a restrained palette, layering white on white with small pops of color. It is Palm Beach taken back to its essence, a “New Look - Palm Beach” scheme, highlighting the spectacular views across Lake Worth to Palm Beach Island and reflective of the changes the explosive growth of the area has brought.
