WILD ANIMALS
They’re animals that have not been domesticated and are usually living in a natural environment.
DOMESTIC ANIMALS
They’re animals which serve some purpose for its owner or others.
OVIPAROUS
Oviparous animals are born from an egg.
Fish, birds and most reptiles are oviparous.
VIVIPAROUS
Viviparous animals are born from their mother´s womb. They drink their mother’s milk.
Almost all mammals and some reptiles are viviparous.
Boa constrictors and green anacondas are viviparous snakes.
VERTEBRATES Animals with bones are vertebrates
Lions, birds, lizards, fish and tortoises are vertebrates.
CHARACTERISTICS OF VERTEBRATES There are five groups: Fish, Birds, Mammals, Amphibians and Reptiles. Vertebrates animals have an internal skeleton made of bones. They move in many ways: Walking, jumping, climbing, flying, crawling and running.
MAMMALS Mammals are vertebrates. Mammals are born from their mother’s womb. They drink their mother’s milk. Their bodies are covered with hair or fur. Mammals breathe air with their lungs.
