“It’s great to be known by name at Cornerstone. The professors are authentic, down to earth and full of wisdom.” – Jen Manzer Elementary Education
The first thing that pops out about CU is the way we see you. We see you in 3D. You’re a lot more than a GPA waiting to happen. Sure, you’ve got your brain, but that’s only one dimension of you. What about the rest of you? What about your soul? What about the ways you’re going to make this planet a better place? At CU, when we talk about you, we’re talking about your head, heart, hands, hobbies, friends, your strengths and your struggles. We’re talking about your summer job, your playlists, your future, your faith, your purpose — all of it. You’re 3D. We’re CU, a university for 3D people. So if you’re looking for a solid university filled with people who love Jesus, and if you want professors who will prepare you for the kind of future that includes all of you…
we’d like to give you a 3D tour. it starts with three key points... 2

It’s the part of you that has the nerve to be exactly who you are while following a living and loving Jesus Christ, regardless of what you might look like on the outside. This is a university where freedom of faith means you don’t have to let your soul go unnoticed. Where prayer in the classroom is encouraged. What happens here doesn’t happen everywhere. You happen here. Your personality, your personal style, your passion for Jesus happens here. Unchanging truth in an always changing world happens here. There are six billion people out there who need a person like you — from your brain to your soul — so bring your hair, beliefs, questions, personality, and let’s get started! 3

Every dorm has them. The library has them. They’re prayer rooms. Perfect for those who want a little private time with Jesus.
Chapel
Students love it! Chapel is a time to gather and worship with fellow students while growing in your relationship with Jesus. Three times a week with seven student-led worship teams.
go Week
A week-long focus on global opportunities with chapel speakers and a load of mission agencies/ministries. This is where you get the info you need to figure out your own GO opportunities.

Our students are givers. Last year they gave 13,000 hours of their time serving others. They participate in a ton of different ministries. It’s part of who they are, and it’s part of what CU is all about.

Once every couple months, the guys get together and don’t talk sports, cars or computers. This is about issues that affect men. It’s a ministry for guys who want to be better guys.

aCCreDiTaTions
Class size averages 20 students. Some higher, some lower. Our student-tofaculty ratio is a very respectable 16:1, which means there is time for you. Want to get your money’s worth? This is huge.
You may have heard about top colleges with respected professors who don’t actually teach classes. They’re busy doing more important things. Well, our professors are busy doing important things too, we just think helping you get the education you’re paying for is a pretty important thing. And at CU it goes beyond that. Year after year, students are blown away by the time, support and attention they get from CU professors.

There’s no sUb 4 real Real-world faculty: Our professors are steeped in real-world experience. When a professor can look up from the book and share real-life job experience — what went right in the field, what went wrong — a different kind of learning takes place. And it’s another key reason CU grads are so well prepared and so popular in the workplace.

Once you’re back on campus we continue to talk about your foundation throughout your whole first year. You’ll have a faculty or staff mentor, a builtin network of new friends and all kinds of experiences and opportunities to put into practice the things that you’re learning. This college is different. We’re not just about getting you ready to land a job. We equip you for a life. A life that matters and makes a difference. We want you to be keenly aware of the people and cultures that surround you and be prepared to influence them for Jesus. set your feet on Terra firma and start building.
Terra Firma is your welcome to CU, what to expect and why you’re here. It’s like an orientation, except way deeper, way better and way more about Jesus and Cornerstone.
