ABOUT KALAMAZOO

THE WESTERN EDGE

It’s about your success. You agree to a compact, and your academic advisor will design a plan with you to finish your degree on time. This compact requires you to carry a full credit load, meet with your advisor annually, declare a major by your sophomore year and take advantage of other academic support offerings. Pretty simple, isn’t it? And if you maintain a 3.0 GPA and successfully complete 30 credit hours your first year, you’ll get $500 to go toward your second year. One more thing, if you live on campus, your room and board rates will be frozen for up to four years. What are you waiting for? Grab those reins.

In addition to NCAA Division I sports offered at WMU, the Kalamazoo community has the Kalamazoo K-Wings (UHL hockey), Kalamazoo Kingdom (pro soccer), and Kalamazoo Kings (frontier league pro baseball). There are also AAA minor league baseball teams in Battle Creek and Grand Rapids.
