Facials have become an increasing favorite amongst both women and men, and here lately even more so doing your own facial and making your own scrub. A popular facial scrub is the sugar scrub with a tomato. Facial scrubs are really a vital part of the routine you should have when taking care of your skin‌ they bring exfoliation to the face and will have you feeling better about yourself and your skin.

The Benefits There are many benefits to the sugar scrub with tomato. The combination of these two ingredients makes a nice effective exfoliating scrub that you will enjoy. The sugar serves as the main scrub portion. It will remove the dead skin cells and it will also regenerate fresh new skin cells. The tomato has a potent and rich antioxidant that is very helpful to the skin. It also has tiny particles; when they are applied to the face, the particles are easily absorbed through the skin. When the tomato pulp is crushed and then combined with the sugar more of the potent and rich antioxidant is released and the new fresh skin will absorb those antioxidants more quickly, eliminating other things that may harm the skin.

This combination of the sugar and tomato scrub will also help diminish wrinkles and fine lines around the eyes, mouth and forehead. You will notice that your skin will also have a more youthful appearance… since you’re making this sugar and tomato scrub yourself it will be easy to make and use whenever you need it.

How to make it To make the sugar facial scrub with a tomato is really simple. The only ingredients you need are one medium or large (depending on the amount of facial scrub you want) tomato and one- three tablespoons of granulated sugar. You will also need a side plate, a chopping board, a sharp knife and a facial brush if you choose to use one. The steps to making the sugar facial scrub are fairly easy and goes as follows. First you cut the top of the tomato off; you will later use the top for the scrubber pad; when you cut the top off make sure you do not cut it to thin. Next you want to put the sugar on the side plate and spread it with the back of the spoon. You then want to take the top of the tomato that you have cut off and dip it in the sugar that’s on the plate. After this you want to twist the tomato top around in a circular motion to get an even coating on the tomato top. Once this is done, dampen your face and then gently scrub the sugar coated tomato top in a small circular motion starting at the forehead. Move down and around your face making sure to hit the mouth, nose, chin, face and neck. If you choose to use a facial brush it can now be used to go over the face for an extra benefit. After this is done relax for ten minutes, rinse off and pat the skin dry. After you’ve done the sugar facial scrub with tomato you can apply your moisturizer. This is a very important step after you’ve used the sugar and tomato scrub. Moisturizing rehydrates your skin and also will bring nourishment to your newly regenerated skin cells. Moisture is then locked into these cells which will give your skin a wonderfully youthful look. The combination of sugar and tomatoes in a scrub is a ideally amazing combination and just may be one of the easiest and most beneficial scrubs you can make.
