Are You A Hunter? Having the right to keep and bear arms comes with many freedoms in the United States, but the most thrilling of all is the hunt. A tradition that dates back as far as history can go, not only in sport, but to survive. Being a hunter means a registered gun owner can utilize his/her firearms within reasonable means on hunting grounds. It also means golden moments can be made while out on the hunt, whether it be in the scenery or the smell of the forest, nothing can compare to scoring oneself a decent buck and becoming part of that far dated history. There has never been a better way to express your freedom of the second amendment than to hunt with friends.

Using Firearms For Entertainment Firearms stand for many uses, but among those uses, how many can an individual use for means of entertainment? Why buy a firearm if its going to sit in a safe and collect dust? Well sure one could go to the local firing range and shoot at some pieces of paper, but what about moving targets. From a one day outing for some Whitetail Deer, to a three day stakeout for some Elks, more strategy and work is put into the hunt which makes the earnings far more sweeter. Prizes can be mounted, skinned, made into clothes, or even used for gourmet dishes such as Venison Stew, that is way more exciting than some punctured target paper. Besides the profitable opportunities, what else is so great about hunting? Being an experienced hunter can dramatically improve gun slinging skills. Whether you’re out in the wild or at home defending your loved ones from intruders, hunting provides the experience you need to disarm/dismantle an enemy target when in potential danger. Being more experienced with a firearm can help a household feel safe and secure, especially when it comes to homes without security systems. With the 270 million registered civilian firearms and the unknown amount of unregistered guns, as a the owner of a firearm, it is best for all men/women to take advantage of their constitutional rights for the sake of his/her safety. Combative skills is only one of the many treasures that the hunting experience(s) can offer you.

Population Control? Although we’ve discussed the many self benefits of hunting, population control is also quite important. There are starting dates and deadlines for particular species of animals when it comes to the rules and regulations of hunting. Hunters have a duty to carry out these rules and help sustain the population of wildlife often sought after, they are the foot soldiers of the forest, as well as eyes for research teams. The Avian Health and Disease Programs requests that sick or dead Avian birds be reported to wildlife services. This is one of the many health and development causes that can be aided by hunters. A hunter can ensure his/her hunting expeditions for the many years

to come by complying with wildlife services and using firearms within reasonable means. To be a hunter means to have access to a weapon of great power and to use that power responsibly, for the thrill of the hunt and all of life’s other ordeals.
