Summer Recap 2014 OSHEAGA 2014 A definite highlight of this summer was attending Montreal’s Osheaga music festival. A varitable smorgasboard of audible talents extending across all genres - from Country to EDM- Osheaga catered to the musical tastes of over a hundred thousand attendees this year. With many of the biggest names in music in attendance, including Jack White, Skrillex, Lorde, and the Arctic Monkeys, this year’s festival was one for the history books.
SPARK in the CITY As part of my work with Spark production house here at SLC, I had the opportunity to travel with some of my coworkers to Toronto this summer, to help shoot the video portion of an online social media course for SLC. I was able to gain some valuable experience and really engage in an industry which has fascinated me for many years. We were able to work with and assist in the direction of a team of actors in a number of awesome locations- including the thirty-third floor of a swanky downtown office building!

THE STORY THUS FAR I had a fantastic, and very busy summer this year! I accomplished more than I thought possible, and was able to be part of some incredible events! It’s back to business as usual with returning to class and focusing on schoolwork, but I’m looking forward to putting everything I’ve learned this past year to the test!
REIMAGINING an ICON
Almost a year ago, I entered the ReImagining Accessibility contest - a design competition open to Post-Secondary students all over the globe, and managed to tie for first place! (despite never expecting it!) As part of an ongoing process of editing and polishing the designs, I was able to attend the International Accessibility Summit hosted in Ottawa by Carleton University as a guest, and show and present my design to authorities on accessibility and design from all over the world.
