December 29 - January 2: Hartford Jurassic Quest, Connecticut Convention Center, 100 Columbus Blvd. Hartford, See more than 100 life size animatronic dinosaurs including Apatosaurus, Spinosaurus, T-Rex, and an incredible 50 foot long Megalodon. 10am – 4pm. $19-$56. January 1-2: Hartford Holiday Light Fantasia, 1106 Maple Ave.,Hartford. Holiday Light Fantasia is a much loved Greater Hartford tradition and this season’s destination. The two-mile show transforms Goodwin Park into a drive-through wonderland of holiday spirit with a beautiful collection of over 1 million lights. Whimsical holiday scenes, familiar characters and local tributes shine bright in larger-than-life lighted scenes and 200 individual displays. Lighted animations celebrate not only Christmas, but Hanukkah, New Years and Three Kings Day. Benefiting the Channel 3 Kids Camp, the Hartford Holiday tradition welcomed over 100,000 visitors last year! We look forward to welcoming even more supporters throughout the lighted celebration. Thu.-Sun. 5 p.m.-10 p.m., $20 car (up to 8 passengers). January 1-2: Hartford Holiday Lights Spectacular Hartford Healthcare Amphitheater, 500 Broad St., Bridgeport. The family-friendly Holiday Lights Spectacular features lasers, choreographed lighting, projection mapping, tunnels, and millions of lights. The drive-through experience will take you into a magical holiday event. The grounds will be magically transformed into a winter wonderland. Families will be dazzled by projection-mapped moments and even be able to drive through a laser light show. Drivers will be able to tune their car to a dedicated radio station that will air a curated holiday music playlist. All adds up to a holiday laser and light show that has never been seen in the area. Get ready to glow! Fri.-Sun. 5 a.m.-12 a.m. Early bird tickets $25 per car. January 6-9: Hartford Disney on Ice Presents “Mickey’’s Search Party”, Hartford XL Center, 1 Civic Center Plaza, Hartford. oin Mickey Mouse and his friends at Disney On Ice presents Mickey’s Search Party, an adventure filled with world-class skating, high-flying acrobatics, and unexpected stunts! Look for clues in the search for Tinker Bell through immersive, fantastic worlds. Explore the colorful spirit realm of Coco, sail away with Moana as she bravely saves her island, see Belle in the sky as the enchanted chandelier comes to life, and sing along with Elsa in the icy world of Frozen. Make memories during Aladdin, Toy Story, and The Little Mermaid as the search party becomes an all-out celebration! Thu.-Fri. 7 p.m.; Sat. 11 a.m., 3 p.m., 7 p.m.; Sun. noon & 4 p.m., Tickets start at $19. January 8-29: Norwalk Seal Spotting & Birding Cruises, The Maritime Aquarium at Norwalk, 10 North Water Street, Norwalk. Cruise out for the chance to see some of the seals and waterfowl that spend their winters in Long Island Sound. R/V Spirit of the Sound has a climate controlled cabin but, because the best viewing is outside on the deck, participants should bring plenty of warm clothes. Advance reservations are recommended. $34. January 16: Stamford Bubblemania, The Palace Theatre, 61 Atlantic St., Stamford. Back by “pop”ular demand! Featuring Casey Carle, comic bubble artist, who has “burst” onto stages 14

Come see beauty, wonder, and fun as Casey Carle returns to The Palace Theatre in his amazing one- man show combining spontaneous comedy, jazzy music, and brilliant bubbling. Among the many featured skills are fantastic fog-filled bubble sculptures, a cube bubble, funky foam, bubble ping-pong, trapping an audience member (or two?) inside a gigantic soap bubble, and thousands of bubbles filling the stage. Amazement and amusement for ages 5 through 95. 3pm / $15 January 20: Stamford “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Live!”, The Palace Theatre, 61 Atlantic St., Stamford.” Won’t you be my neighbor?” Daniel Tiger and all of his friends from the beloved PBS KIDS television series are hopping aboard Trolley to your town with Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Live! Along with “O” the Owl, Katerina Kittycat, Prince Wednesday, Mom and Dad Tiger, and many more, Daniel Tiger will take live audiences on an interactive musical adventure to the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, sharing stories of friendship, helping others, and celebrating new experiences. This live theatrical production filled with music, dancing, laughter, and “grr-ific” surprises will warm the hearts of multiple generations. 4pm, $28-$75 January 23: Mansfield Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Live!, Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts 2132 Hillside Road, Storrs. The legacy of the beloved Mister Rogers lives on with the hit PBS television series, Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood. Now, Daniel and his friends are delighting audiences with Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood LIVE! In this heartwarming stage production, Daniel embarks on an interactive musical adventure as he and his friends explore the vibrant world of their much-loved neighborhood. “The magic of a live event and the familiar stories will spark imagination, creativity, and most importantly put a wonderful smile on a child’s face as they watch Daniel and his friends in the adorable production.” - Broadway World. 2pm, $25-$30. January 28: Newtown Snow Much Fun in Newtown, Fairfield Hills Campus, Keating Farms Road and Washington Square, Newtown. Come celebrate winter with us. Join Newtown Parks and Recreation for an enjoyable time with games, a DJ, ice skating*, a winter tractor ride, a bonfire & more. This will surely be an enjoyable evening for the entire family that you will not want to miss. “Fork in the Road” Food Truck will also join in, so come have dinner and enjoy an outdoor wintery evening. *Ice skating is not guaranteed, due to weather, but there will be plenty of activities. 6pm – 8pm $3 January 29: New Canaan Winter Nature Walk, Grace Farm, 365 Lukes Wood Rd., New Canaan. Experience the beauty and tranquility of winter throughout Grace Farms’ 80 acres during a walk with Nature Initiative Director. Learn how life survives and even thrives, during the colder months. 11am - noon Out & About is a guide to family–oriented, events and is provided as a community service.
