OPTIS fluid systems are as powerful as they are cost effective, ensuring that our customers have the superior solution to improve well performance.
Operators utilizing OPTIS realized an average of 22% increase in production above type curve.
ELIMINATING SKIN DAMAGE Optimal fluid treatment is not one-size-fits all; oil composition changes significantly with total vertical depth, formation, and geographical location. Analysis of each individual oil analog is necessary to determine a compatible fluid.
The OPTIS fluid inhibits the polymerization mechanism found in the blank which decreases skin damage, allowing pore throats to stay open, thus increasing well productivity. By comparison, the incompatible fluid exacerbates the polymerization, increasing skin damage, blocking pore throats, and thereby decreasing well productivity.

SKIN DAMAGE POLYMERANT MASS Skin damage polymerant mass is measurement by the weight of polymers formed that are unable to pass through the filter during skin damage testing.
Skin damage polymerants, such as stable wax/emulsions, block pore throats and increase the opportunity for permanent formation damage. The fluid run through Filter A creates enough skin damage polymerants to block the pore throats and blind the filter face. The polymerants block pore throats, trapping oil and water in the formation.
Filter A Incompatible Fluid
By comparison, the OPTIS fluid run through Filter B creates a small amount of skin damage polymerants. The pores are unobstructed and able to pass oil and water through. Filter B OPTIS Fluid
Exemplary Process and Value Delivery OPTIS Patented Composite Core Technologies was designed to evaluate rock fluid interactions. This patented process eliminates the need for expensive and time-consuming native core retrieval and analysis, thus delivering repeatable and more reliable results in days, not months. OPTIS frac packages are specifically designed for each pad using custom-designed, patented laboratory equipment to reduce chemical usage and improve well performance. The process uses well head samples and drill cuttings from analog wells as well as the water source used for fracturing.
Lower rates of friction reducer (Blue Line) pumped result in higher rates of imbibition, or the ability of fluid to move through rock. Higher imbibition means that pore spaces are kept open for fluid to freely pass through, resulting in higher well production.
Incompatible fluids close pore throats which results in slower and less overall imbibition. The patented composite core compacter creates cores from drill cuttings that are waste products of the drilling process, saving ~$1 million dollars in retrieval costs for each native core collected.

OPTIS WORKFLOW
WORKFLOW
OPTIS frac packages are designed for each well using custom, patented laboratory equipment to improve fluid compatibility and reduce friction reducer loading. Increased fluid compatibility using the OPTIS workflow reduces chemical spend, reduces skin damage, and improves fluid flow generating a higher IP and life of well performance.
