Synopsis Our world has changed completely in the last 50 years. We’ve achieved to land on the moon, cure diseases, eliminate hard work, revolutionize communication, travel at high speed… Science, technology and medicine have overcome the obstacles that the human being found on his way. But, does all of that make us happier? FRÁGIL is a performance of robots and objects about the place that machines and technology take in the world of constant change.

About the performance Frágil emerges from the latest constructions by Raúl Martínez (ferroluar.com), mechanical beings that despite their apparent hardness perform delicate movements of a rare fragility. Taking as a start point those machines, Jesús Nieto (oniricamecanica.com) gives the soul to their movements creating a surprising and singular mechanics-poetics. The common work of two artists gives the beginning to the study of the fragility and the mechanics, a metaphor for the harsh human appearance that hides our fragile nature.

About FERROLUAR Raúl Martínez creates organic movements with materials that, fundamentally, may seem cold and inexpressive, objects that recover a second youth. Machines? Toys? Robots? As a base of his constructions he uses recycled parts and materials trying to find a balance between the animal mobility, physiognomy and aesthetics and to express the essence of something alive and vibrant.
